Sunday shave: Inspired by another thread where we declared today a Bismarck shave day. This edge has allot of shaves on it but it still very smooth and sharp. If only the baby lasted a little longer I would have called this an epic shave, still an outstanding shave. I agree the photo didn't do it justice at all. Personally I have been holding out for a cobalt or stripped ivory color CH2 Synthetic.
Saturday evening November 4 - on Rule Rockwell 6s on plate #4 / Topaz Platinum (2) Semogue Owners Club cherrywood boar brush TOBS Avocado Cream Alum and Thayers Witch Hazel Original Astringent Did a 1 1/2 pass shave today - diagonally WTG everywhere and then another pass ATG just on my neck and underside of my jaw. Result was very close to BBS without any irritation. I think I will try bumping up to plate #5 tomorrow and see what happens.
NOVember!!! November 4 - Ok,we'll call it a Qshave Focus now Razor - Qshave Futur Clone Blade - (2) Soap - Stirling Ozark Mountain Brush - Jayaruh #46 Post - Alum & Styptic Well I'm happy to leave out the bloody description tonight. A very good shave with the second run of the Bic CP in the Qshave dialed up to 4. Stirling Ozark Mountain and the JR46 for enough lather to share with everyone and the result of the shave is a very nice DFS. Turning it up to 4 made me very mindful of pressure. I moved my grip further toward to the end of the handle to allow the razor to just rest on my face as I moved it. The audible was incredible and the blade remained smooth and effective. Each time you dial up this razor you're opening up more angles on each setting you can work with. I tried to stay at the optimal angle and just keep it there. Two passes and very little touch up was required for the DFS. Very nice. Alum....just a bit on the warm side. All in all a very nice shave with the lingering scent of the Ozark Mountain soap. Nice!
No scam at all, as the boys have explained. A complicated extortion plot perhaps, but nothing sinister at all.
NOVember Late Night Shave Club Kiss My Face Peaceful Patchouli cream SP→2 Cypress & VS Pure Black badger Osaka Suribachi bowl and cool water Ming Shi 2000S & Personna LB (3rd) Alum and Proraso Refresh AS Lotion Feeling a little scruffy so I got ahead of tomorrow's shave. Sets me up for an Inspired Menthol Monday. Had a good day so I treated myself to a badger knot and cream lather. At the rate I use KMF it'll last me years. I'm not avoiding it. They make a great product. Setting in a cabinet out of sight I forget it's there. Three pumps from the easy dispenser and a moist brush, a little added water and I was off and shaving. Bumped the Futur Clone up to a solid #4 on my third use of the Lab Blue blade. All passes, with relathering in between went well. Used the lather to hold my mustache out of the way and edged the lengthening points. I'm well on my way to a blonde/gray shaggy version of a Snidely Whiplash. I sounds better when I call it a Gun Slinger style, but there's still too much Walrus still going on. Oh, look! a squirrel! So anyways, the slightly upped adjustment went well with good reduction in 3+ passes & no errors. Swiped alum was smooth, but it started to irritate as I was cleaning up my gear. Rinsed it of as I usually do and splashed on a good dose of minty cool green juice. Good Shaves Y'all!
Since I have been such a good boy and followed my Rule for two whole days now, I should probably mention that I will likely be amending it. TOBS shaving creams all have virtually identical performance even when the scents differ, and I have four different scent tubs of it. The Avocado cream is very good but its fresh garden scent isn't always what I want to smell in the morning, so as the mood strikes me I will be substituting Lavender, Sandalwood and Mr. Taylor. They are all TOBS creams though, so I think it can still count as a Rule. Opinion of the judges?

All I know is that gulag is a hidden vacation gem. Please thank Ivan and the boys for their hospitality.
November 5, 2017 Colonial Razors General Feather Super Pro (5) Zenith B2 Boar Nuàvia Rossa Changed out the brush to a Zenith B2 Boar. The brush is very soft making face lathering a joy. A three pass shave followed by minimal touch ups ended up just short of catching the baby. Off to visit my Mom for the day. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
