  1. Thank you Gentlemen for the kind words.
  2. Adam I am sorry to hear about the job. I will be praying for you and your employees.
  3. Love the Gem Jr and photo Jim.

Wonderful photo. I really like the B&W touch.
  4. Today’s shave was brought to me by the following:
    Razor: Gillette Super Speed
    Brush: JR168
    Soap: Tabac
    Blade: Astra S/P

My concentration / focus abilities must be WAY outta whack today. I started off by giving myself a haircut, which translates to using the clippers with a #1 plate, and the lever adjusted to the closest setting. Not paying attention, I forgot to put the plate back on after brushing the hair off the blades. So, now my hairline in back is a bit higher than usual.

The shave itself wasn’t great either. I’ve done worse. It certainly wasn’t a lather issue. The Tabac was plenty slick, and the cushion was great. Not the razor or blade at fault either. 100% user error today. I’m smooth, but I had a few weepers and a little irritation.

Oh well...tomorrow is another day and another shave. Hopefully my concentration is up to snuff tomorrow.

  6. Fantastic B&W Jason!! Love that setup!
  7. Well, this year will go down in TSD 30DC history as the "Winter of Cookie Discontent". Songs will be written and sung about the great uprisings and rebellions, and the forces sent in to restore order with sugar cookies and snickerdoodles.

  8. On the bright side, you won't need a haircut as soon. At least the picture was very good.
  9. Thanks Clint!!
  10. Sounds like a job for the Limericks Crew!
  11. Amazing photo, Bruce! Luckily hair grows back!

FaceScraper, wristwatchb, RyX and 6 others like this.
  14. Unique set up, Rick. I love the NEW bar handle as well.
Great write up, John. Wrapped in all our shenanigans is the fact that the advice on here is top notch.
More stunning scenery, Clint. We are getting snowfall right now. We only have about an inch on the ground so far this month.
The Paladin handle is a stunner, Mark!
Another great picture, Charlie. You must be loving that Simpson brush to stay with it all month.
Classy pic, Brian. The metalwork on those scales looks fantastic.
Tabac AS? You are a brave man! Great pic, Jim.
Tomorrow's shave will be better, Bruce! We all have days like that.
  15. Thanks Jason! :happy088:
  16. Thank you all. I've been playing with b&w presentations on my phone a bit.
  17. I don't own a Semogue, so I can't compare it to that, Randy. As for the Omega, mine is the 27mm from the 10049 handle. It is worlds better than this TGN boar. The TGN boar is a fine quality knot- It never loses hair and the soft feeling tips have split nicely. The problem, in my humble opinion, is that it just doesn't have enough loft. It feels too dense and stiff as a result. It is set about as shallow as I can get it as well. I am going to be yanking it out tout suite, and replacing it with a 24mm Omega I just got at the local pharmacy.
  18. Nice picture, Bruce. Too bad about the shave today, but your razor looks really, really good.
  19. Thanks, Jason!
  20. Thank you, Clint!
