  1. Congrats to all you on the successful starts to your Shavette focuses. Chris is proud, I’m sure!
  2. Are you having problems uploading an image in general, or is it saying the image is too big? Let us know what the issue is and we can help, I am sure.
Keep riding the cap. It is about the best advice you can get.
  3. I'll jump in and catch up in a bit. Things are upside down here today. Dead laptop so I'm working with my tablet. It's a learning curve. So parden my lack of the usual shave intro.

I finished my 30 Day Rule tonight with the OCMM. Had a great month and learned an awesome SE razor. While it may never be truly tamed it is still one fine razor. With carbon blades it's a true Gem. Pun intended. Soap was Fatbac with a Stirling synthetic. Great way to end a Rule.

My Madness this month is madder than I had planned. More on that later.

Tablet picture sucks. Sorry about that.[IMG]

  4. Good work with the pain stick, Dan. I had a similar experience- almost finished a great first pass, and then decided I had far too much skin and too little O positive showing and took a quick step to rectify that situation.
Sounds like a great place to vacation, Keith. Some great combos as well!
Yup, that photo has the ‘Rick effect’ and a great write-up to boot!
  5. Hey man, that's a pic of two dudes dressed like nuns.

Clubman today. This month is a rule for me. I've done a few hundred open blade shaves, so my shave commentary will be mostly responsive this month. As (Jason) @jtspartan notes, I am indeed proud to see the assembled Shavettes. Guys, tag me if you want me to look quick, I've turned that alert on for March. Good luck everybody! Bonus commentary: Sharp Star, still about the worst NOS in the history of steel itself. Only 29 more wretched chances. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado.

    Have a fab Friday!

  8. It's a tricky beast, Jason. I was feeling confident after that first pass, and even through most of the second pass. It would've been fine if I'd remembered it's a wild animal and will bite if you don't stay "focused." I lost focus just for a brief moment. The good news is that there was no blood on the counter, walls or floor... and didn't have to call EMS to rush in and save me.
  9. All my best bleeding is obtained whilst doing touchup.
  10. Wow, my first check-in today and over 125 posts. You’re a bunch of chatty-Cathys It took me a while to catch up.
I’m going to do something for March Madness that I haven’t done for a while. I’m going to focus on one razor for the month. Since I don’t have or ever used a traditional shavette, I’m going to use the closest thing I have. I broke out the Feather Artist Club SS razor this morning. This razor gave me my dueling scar, the last time I focused on it, and I like to think I’ve learned something since that incident.
Since I’ve unpacked my soaps and aftershaves, I will be able to get my variety there.
    This will be fun
This morning’s shave wasn’t bad. I had some irritation on the neck, which shows me where I need to focus.

  11. Blast from the Past:

I have this thing. If I enter a PIF, I always use and write about the products involved. Very early on after joining here, @Bobcat ran this PIF, which I received on 13 June 2015. My posts about it start shortly thereafter.

This was the sampler that made believe that "Blades don't matter nearly as much as people pretend that they do."

  12. The New SC is a sweet razor. A bit more aggressive than the LC but that never bothered me.

  13. You crazy Japanese people and your different time zone. No blood for the first shave is a win. The effectiveness will get there. Nice job!
