Cool July session TSS / Ginger's Garden / Acqua di Florida Omega Pro #10098 boar brush Suribachi bowl and cool water 1959 (E-4) Gillette Fat Boy on 9 Feather Hi-Stainless blade Osage Rub, M&L Florida Water AS A quiet moment, slipped in a soothing shave session. Somewhere out there another TSD member snagged a matching tub of this soap from that Pass Around Box. Dead on scent match for the cologne, and a great performing lather every time I dig it out of the cabinet. Gave the ole brush a quick soak that left it with plenty of backbone for a non-bloomed loading. Into the bowl, then on my beard that fell without resistance to the model 195 on number nine. Three passes with no little ones under foot, so I buffed & G-Slid my way to DFS or better. No errors for the high alcohol Rub and Water to spark up. Just cooling fragrant enjoyment. Good Shaves Y'all!
July 2018 July 20 Razor - 1960 (F4) Gillette Toggle (9) Blade - (2) Soap - Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum Brush - Stirling Two Banded Synthetic Post - Alum Fatboy Friday is is! Well, so I'm using the razor that led to the Fatboy. Price it differently back then and market it a bit more and we might all have Toggles and be searching for the rare Fatboy. Instead, it's the other way around. We'll call it Adjustable Friday and it works that way too. I went from the Blood on Steel soap to the Jeeves Bay Rum. They lather the same, of course, and provide the same great shave. The Kai blade was a bit rough on me tonight but I was hurrying a bit. Can't let the drunks wait too long out there! They need to get home! I didn't really draw blood but just some extra irritation that the alum was happy to point out. Kai, like its cousin Feather, is sharp enough to create the opportunity for a harsh result. I'll have to slow down and watch my angles a bit better tomorrow. Have a great start to your weekend.
The Cartel has no issue with your fight, as it is necessary for the proletariat to have something to focus their attention on - lest they discover the depths of the real corruption going on. While it is less stressful to your fearless leaders for you to oooohhh and ahhhhhh over cute kittens on the internet, doing the same over shiny shaving gear gives the same result. But....if it takes a fight against the powers the be to keep you from discovering that the cookies are really a cover for all of the cake we eat.....then fight! Just more cake for us!
I'm pretty sure I can afford her.....but I'm also pretty sure I can't afford the amount of bourbon necessary.
Saturday Shave I used the Blood on Steel while traveling and it worked fine, back at home it is excellent. It is hot and sticky in Seoul so I used cold water from the tab, if you can call it cold and the lather was slick and wet. I actually apologize for assigning her to your list of 2018 Tabac Calendar prospects without your approval. Upon further attention, I thought perhaps it was an old photo of Bea Arthur trying to look sexy. Then I realized it’s just a dude.
July 21st Razor: Timeless Bronze SB Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (1) Brush: SOC mixed Pre shave: Stirling mentholated Soap: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum Lucky Tiger face tonic AS: PAA Boomtown Bay Rum Good morning, men! I haven't used the Timeless Bronze since my April focus. What a nice smooth razor! Not bad to look at either. Two pass with touch up, near BBS result. I have been working on skin stretching, it has been a great help with the quality of my shaves, especially on my neck. I'm a Bay Rum fan and the new release from PAA doesn't dissapoint. Off to the Mile High Nationals for the day. Mid nineties on metal bleachers. We probably won't make the whole day. Have a great weekend! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
