Just when you thought it was safe to stop buying razors. Yaqi combines a SLOC head with a slant base plate.
I don't think they have it up for sale yet but you can try Yaqi's aliexpress store. Once they do start selling I expect you'll be able to buy just the razor head there and full razor either directly or rebranded for other vendors like Italianbarber and Maggards.
Yaqi certainly produces a variety of decent products at a very low cost. I imagine their slant will be satisfactory to many.
Yaqi has been releasing some very nize zinc head and brass handle razors but also either tera coated or gun coated, not sure which one... If they figure out how to make the heads out of brass over time and by the looks they just might do that considering majority of all TTO Chinese razors are brass stamped, if their 3 piece design turns out to be all brass + gun coated they will be selling them like hot cakes.... the only person that offers similar service and quality at the moment is the Razorozk MJ-90 with the cheaper version of the handle with 2 plates at $20.... Next purchase I'll be getting that one too since I have a spare SS handle from my Mamba
I purchased a Torqx from Aliexpress a while back. Its an adjustable slant with a wicked slant that looks very cool and shaves well. The dial goes up to 6 but it over adjusts to 9! I’ve been searching for an adjustable ‘open comb’ slant but haven't as yet found one of those; adjusting by loosening the handle doesn't count. PAA’s Ascension comes close and its a DOC meaning its a SLOC as well I think right? DOC = SLOC? and it IS pretty great. I may get the copper one too but not quite yet because I am currently jonesing for the ATT S1 open comb slant, the Filament from PAA and a dark gun metal open comb Fatip Grande from Geo at Shave Nation that I just recently purchased. RAD much, lol? I currently start every shave now WTG with either my feather AC SS, SR, my DOVO Shavette using the long blade, or sometimes the short blade, or another straight replaceable blade razor I just picked up along with a gold handled Manchurian Best Badger brush that surprised me by how sweet it looks, feels, and functions all around, thanks Charles from QEDUsa.com. And then I pick a favorite DE to finish it up with the subsequent passes and touch ups.
If not Stamped of brass the Chinese Butterfly are other materials like Marine grade Stainless Steel or chromed/nickel plated and for a single Weishi model on AliExpress is aluminum alloy becuse the Weishi brand is trying to remake the main Speed Shaver flair tip models, the early Rhodium TV special, the red flair tip, and blue flair tip. Now some from Yintel in butterfly are brass but an unplaited model almost the same as the chromed/nickel and black matte enamel versions of the device, most of all the Yintel models are made for the company by Weishi including the black adjustable to specific specs for all but a few that are cheaper OEM versions of Weishi like a flip top adjustable or made by the Yintel company in that I do not see any other company making the model. Yaqi has now made some all brass and even unplaited models, mainly the odd own injector system shaver where only Few brands in China make/sell the blades for the shaver including Yaqi.
