1. True, but I reserved some South African stuff in between! ;)
  2. It all depends on how much people like it.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Razor: GEM Pushbutton
    Brush: Stirling Kong synthetic
    Soap: Stirling Green
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Baker Street aftershave

Wonderful shave with these products this morning. I really liked the scent of Stirling Green and may have to grab the soap and splash if it comes back for a special run.

  5. I see Doc Ezlovan made his recent rounds earlier. :). Is Stoylin Green like Polo Green?
  6. Yes, it's based on Polo Green.
  7. Y'know, I've been seeing comments(not only in here, mostly other sites)that Polo and Drakkar Noir are getting "outdated". To those commenters, may I say that Clubman is still going strong since it began its "worldly" route in 1830.
  8. For tomorrow I’m thinking of pulling out one of two Glacials. Either Black Cherry or MITA.

  9. Today would be a great Glacial day for you...raw, rainy, mid 40's for a high. :))

  10. Over here it’s in the low 30’s. Lol
  11. Glorious shave with Autumn Glory this afternoon. Tremendous scent, wife loves it. (She doesn't normally like woodsy smells) This is a winner.
  12. What put her over the top with Autumn Glory? I mean, did she say something like "This can't be woodsy, because I love it"? :)
  13. Lol, Where you listening in? She loved the leafy smell vs the usual pine tree notes. It's fairly light and soft.

On a side note, my 21yr old moved in with some friends and they were asking about all his shaving gear and bath soaps. (He only has Stirling and Mike's Natural) One has already converted to a safety razor and the others are looking into the Stirling. Glad that I raised the boy right!
  14. I've said in here a few times-I really like seeing 20-something men go for real fancy shave products.
  15. Zero reviews for Scots Pine A.S. thus far..........let's get'em out there, fellas.
  16. People love to brag about the latest and greatest, but just like you pointed out, good scents stick around. I grew up with every guy in my school drowning themselves in drakkar noir, so i personally dont like it that much, but it still a popular scent. Like fashon scents rotate in and out of popularity.
  17. I've got Stirling Noir (Drakkar Noir clone) soap and AS on deck for all next week. Applied properly, it's a WONDERFUL scent!

I do agree, though, if over-applied it can be a bit much. Growing up in the 80's and early 90's this scent is burned into my memory.
  18. Thanks for the tip...I thought the REGULAR DN smelled pretty great(had free "sniffs" from Men's Health magazine pages, ,lol).
  19. I agree with you. These scents are classics for a reason. Eternity has been around for decades so I recommended it for the black Friday sale. Rod told me that they are considering that one for some time next year. If they do I am definitely on the hook for a couple tubs and probably some for gifts! Happy shaving all!
  20. I usually do not post my shaves, but this combo was sooo delightful!

I really like this razor. Limited edition, Sunday Shaver. I believe the only Dovo offering to share the Bergischer Löwe blank. TSS if you are in the buying mode.

Stirling for Him, gotta be the Mostest Glorious Stank! Hope it comes back again.

Say what you want on brushes, a Simpson Super can't be beat.
