  1. He is blessed to have Pappa in his life and I bet Pappa will teach him to shave one day and hook him up with some great gear.

  4. Joe - I was aware of but hadn't looked into two piece DE razors. Member Tim @Timwcic shows a photo and a follow up post in The Haul, which reminded me of one I've been watching in an auction. It appears in these Merkur Slant 37c types the top cap has a long threaded rod attached to the cap, and the base plate is attached to the handle precluding the changing of handles.
Good work Terry! Don't sweat the little things and it's all little things. I find myself in much the same position with no regrets. My two grandfathers were called Pops & Pawpaw. My father took over the Pops title from his dad for my kids, I've stepped into my mothers fathers Pawpaw name for my grands.
    Thank you Doug!

  7. Thanks Joseph for enlightening me on it. I will keep it in mind when I order shaving soaps. Fortunately, I have a good selection of Stirling soaps on order and with my current stash of VDH luxury, 1.5 pucks of Williams and 2 Stirling sample size soaps, I am set for awhile.

  9. I have to agree with you there Rick, good point. And great shave btw.

    Very nice shave today .

And you even managed to get a shave in. Hope everyone gets well soon Terry !

Very nice Charlie, glad to see the old avatar back,, i always liked that one.

    You're a wonderful pappy Terry.

Love how we all describe the sound of a razor cutting. In welding we say " frying bacon" .

I really like the brush Jim.

Yes I am Doug , John went above and beyond.

Thank you Doug , I wish the tablet took better pics but i work with what i have lol.

  13. I looked but couldn't find the clip from the Popeye movie where he (Robin Williams) meets his Pappy (Ray Walston - My Favorite Martian & so many others). There were a few moments where Pappy discusses his feeling about kids.
  14. Thanks, Patrick! I don't know where Grizzly Bay sources their two band badgers but this is quickly becoming a favorite.
