Schick E3, Personna blade, shave 7 This razor shaves like the E2 with the same fixed spring except for one detail. Those striations on the guard bar really do allow for a closer cut than the E2 without them. This razor also was the best shaver of all the Type E razors. Those striations pushed it over the edge and into first place over the next best razor which is the other fixed spring E2 with the earlier spring variant tabbed in place on each side. And considering that I struggled at first with finding the right angle, not to mention having screwed up the lather (too watery), it was a relatively smooth and very efficient two-pass BBS shave. Though early days this proving to deliver closer Shaves than some of my other AC/SE Razors. However, it is a Mildish Razor so not one for a quick morning Shave, a no rush Shave is rewarded a superb all round finish.

Schick Type F, Personna blade, shave 8 Last time I used this razor was with a Schick Proline B-20 blade to meh results. Change of blade and the results change. Much better shave with less pull for starters. For a fairly mild razor this almost gets me to a BBS except under the chin which is almost but not quite there. To put the razor in perspective after shaving through the Type E razors it shaves better than all the movable spring razors and the way it shaves is similar to the second fixed E2 with the nod going to the E2 but not by much.

Sat 25th Jan The Grosvenor [ 404-mixed ] TBG soap-unscented Occams- Oren, Plate No3 Feather Proguard [ 8 ] TBG Sixth Sense A/S Lotion This was my first Occams Razor which Shaves very well on a No3 plate , even with a blade on its 8th outing. I have also acquired The Enoch and Hiram which also Shave well for me, though they are all quite different in the way they feel in the hand.

I had an excellent shave today with my two newly made handles. One sporting a Gillette thin cap old type with. 3rd use Nacet blade and the other sporting a Gem Jr. Bar and a 5th use Gem SS PTFE. Tabac with a little lubriderm for added moisture whipped up beautifully on SHD two band badger. Finished things off with a splash of which hazel. The results are a very smooth irritation free shave.
