Hope you all had a great Saturday and the same weather we had! Sunny and in the 80's. Looking over my shoulder now. That nice of weather has to mean something bad is about to happen, right? Well, hopefully not.

Stayed with the El Cheapo and Derby today but rotated soap and brush. Decided to make it an all @jtspartan day by using the Fine Italian Citrus soap that I keep in a bowl made by him. And, of course, the 30DC LE brush is his creation as well. Great lather that reminded me I should use this soap more than I do. Three passes and all's well. Very well. Near-BBS and smooth shave with no blood and quiet alum.

As a comparison, today's "fun memory" is my first shave report in January 2015. You'll notice I hadn't quite figured out pictures yet, but you can click on the thumbnails and get the full view of a bloody mess if you have the stomach for it. Yep, that's how it began for me around here. You'll find the post HERE!

I agree that was a rough, tough shave on the 1st day of the year in 2015.

 

Effective 01 June, you're promoted to Level 2 Troublemaker, First Class. You'll see a few extra Rubles in next week's check along with an extra allotment of Sharp Stars and Arko. Good work being bad, Comrade Bill.

 

Is that middle rack starting to buckle under the extreme load? That could be a whale of an aftershave spill. Good thing @jluc doesn't use Clubman. That could prompt a countywide evacuation.

 

Prepare for evacuation, Charlie. I use Clubman. It's on the shelf alongside The Veg. This could be catastrophic!

I couldn’t resist either. It will likely be my last safety razor purchase, definitively a last DE purchase (no fingers crossed behind my back). Shane’s practically flawless work on both the Dart and Vector I have make me pretty comfortable with the decision. Not a fan of the harder lines of the Blackbird, but always saw the appeal.

 

Fantastic photo, gear, and walk down memory lane, Neal! The bloody memories are always the most fun to tell, but do require a bit of time before I'm ready to enjoy the telling.
