Today was a GeMonday with my second comparison shave with the 1st and 2nd generation Gem Featherweights. This time a first use Meijer branded SS blade was used.

First up was the 2nd Gen. on the left side neck and cheek above the beard line. 1 pass WTG and 1 pass ATG

The blade was then switched to the 1st Gen. For the right side. Same procedure.

The 1st pass on the right side was nearly as close as the 2 passes on the right. While shaving on the first pass I didn't really notice a difference in the feal of the shaves. The second pass ( ATG ) did have a little more blade feel but not at all in a bad way. Final result was definitely visually cleaner and felt smoother on the right ( 1st Gen. ) side.

After evaluation of the shave I did a cleanup pass with a Gem Junior I was evaluating before sending to a friend. Finally I shaved the back of my neck with the 1st Gen Featherweight. Even with sunburn on the back of my neck the shave was smooth and comfortable.

In conclusion both the 1st and 2nd Gen Featherweights are great razors. However if I could only have one it would definitely be a 1st Gen Featherweight Deluxe.

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Burma Shave Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick L1 Injector with a Personna blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Now that I have discovered that The Enoch works well for me with a Feather Pro, I am doing a series of consecutive Shaves with it. I am now on the 3rd one and it is delivering good quality Shaves without any
trouble. It is proving to be quite useful as a Daily Shaver in my home environment not too sure if it would be good
    when travelling.

The past few weeks I've gone exclusively over to SE razors, mostly the AC style. Enter my new-to-me Razorock Hawk V3 OC. Paired with a Schick Proline P-30 blade (my favorite by far to date), this was a great first shave, efficient but easy to work with. It does handle differently than the Hawk V2 due to the added weight, but I had no problems adapting. RR is killing it with extremely high quality yet very budget friendly razors, and the Hawk V3 is no exception.

Very nice. The Bullet tip aka Flying wing is a great razor. It is milder than the Micromatic Open comb but still a great shaver and like all Micromatics very solid. You are welcome to share your shaves with it in
    https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/micromatic-monday.63258/ as well as here

Henckels Twinworks Rapide, Gem stainless ptfe and wedge blades. 3rd shave on gem blade
    htr2w.jpg ht2g.jpg htr1.jpg

First time using this razor which is on loan to me from @twhite . Wedge blade was sharp enough but the razor is just mild and wasn't good with the wedge. I switched over to the gem blade and it was mild but closer still not a BBS finish. Either I don't know how to use these wedge razors or they are not designed for daily shavers.

I used mine tonight the more I used it the more I like it. I have been using a 4 razor rotation Gem micromatic. Merkur traditional/1904 Schick G series and a Gillette tech razor date coded 1962. Until about a month ago, I have been sporting the duck dynasty look. For the past 10-12 years I work in hospital maintenance this virus has made wearing a mask mandatory. So I dug out my shaving stuff and started shaving again. I have about a dozen vintage razors 2 Schicks the Gem the rest are Gillettes. The Merkur is the first new razor I ever bought

This Brush is very versatile working well will anything I have tried it on. Got plentiful lather from this small container without creating any overspill. A very nice comfortable Shave with a good quality all round finish.
