  3. Picked last night's posts as a good jumping in point. No chance of going through the other 25 pages I've missed since Friday. Now THAT would be a Shave Fu special:

Hallmark Romance? Not even SWMBO likes those...thank goodness. A Rack or the Iron Maiden might be equal torture.
A cart and no brush. Gelled shave cream? Did you travel this weekend, Pierpaolo? I do like your Trac II handle, I travel with a similar one. Same as the Schick Revere Injector handle.
I wish you well, Joe, on your last year. I trust it will go very well.
Great minds today on the GLSq. A fine scent, no question. Are the Declaration Grooming soaps a total match?
Love those handles by Evan as well, Clint. So very unique, yet so nice to hold and face lather with. What is the knot you chose for it?
3 passes with the 3 dot? I would hope you are close to a BBS for sure.
Just beautiful, Mark. I have some Terre d'Hermes inbound as well. Very much looking forward to it.
My 2 cents- if you like GSBs, I would recommend some of the other quality Russian Gillette blades. You can find both Nacets and PermaSharps for reasonable prices and are excellent. Others like some of the Russian 7 O Clocks as well- Green or Yellow from Russia.
This is low hanging fruit, Evan, so I'll leave it alone. I will say, though, that Tabac is a quality product. An excellent lather, no question. I'm glad I had it, but I'm not a fan of the scent per se. Arko is just cheap. Not in the same league, imho.
Love that Shavemac handle, Blair. You have a couple nice 'disco' handles for sure. Do you like non alcohol splashes? I have gravitated to basically not ordering any splash that isn't alcohol based.
Very nice, Jeff. I wasn't aware that Ronsons took Injector blades. Is that traditionally what they used?
  4. Great shave pic and report, Clint! Hope your day goes smoothly! Every day is Saturday to me! :)

  5. PierPaolo,I shaved for 50 yrs with the same Schick Krona until it finally gave up the ghost! I enjoy my safety and straight razor shaves too much these days! I have no interest in those plastic things. YMMV

  8. Tuesday's Shave
    #SEptember

    GEM Featherweight
    GEM S/S PTFE (1)
    WCS Beacon Synthetic
    Tabac Shaving Soap Stick
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Tabac Aftershave

Today was one of the best shaves I've had with this GEM Featherweight. I'm not sure what prompted the results, but I'll take it. The only variable I changed was using a synthetic brush instead of a badger or boar with the Tabac. This was only the 6th time I've used Tabac and the lather didn't appear any different - still excellent. :happy036:

  9. They actually were designed with a proprietary blade, but injector blades work just fine, although they take a bit fiddling. See below:

  12. Voskhod! Bics are pretty sharp, third after Feather. Voskhods are very smooth and sharp enough for most whiskers, save our (@Terry) Terry’s Kevlar stubble. Polsilver, although they seem hard to get these days. Wizamets are very nice as well.

  14. Spot reading while working....lots of coffee this am. Will catch up later today on shaves, etc.

Thanks Jason. Love bright colors for the shaving gear.

For splashes and aftershaves....I'm leaning that way (non alcohol based). But...not completely, won't change my 'den' in any drastic way.

The lady behind Zingari Man is a 'Certified Cosmetic Formulater'....not sure how that works, but it sounds like some home work has been done on her end. Heather is also very active on IG, I've watched a few times. She talks from time to time about the oddity of using products (not just for shaving, but for cosmetics in general) that aren't inherently good for the skin (which alcohol is very drying). As a result, her shaving products and cosmetics recommended avoiding the problematic ingredients. I'm a fan so far, and a happy customer via her website or WCS.

    Not travelling, just very late.

Your shaving time is bigger than my all life.
    :p

BTW, that razor is mostly of aluminium.
And have a mini power cell (AAA battery) for the vibration.
Very helpful when shaving full speed all ATG. (see link)

I prefer for sure the classic tools ...
... but I love the good things in the hi-tech new gen too.
