  1. Wonderful shave Jeff. Glad you are diversifying your options regarding the blade choices, especially to deal with the potentional horizontal opps.

  5. I originally had difficulty with the thought of how a blade design like that could even work. Or it was the sissy way out. Then...... I tried them.

It is amazing how close and smooth they shave. And how long they last.

    I think ProGuards are great.

  6. I’m in Evan!

Big fan of quality artisan work. Yours. Jason’s. Straight or safety manufacturers. Love it all.

Would proudly show them off in images and reports!
  7. Can emphasize with the smoke situation Gary. Years ago some of the wild fires smoke from Texas made it through DFW. A couple other times we’ve had dust storms roll through. Breathing is a chore (still have childhood asthma). Visibility down to 1/4 mile or less. No fun at all.
  8. Some fine shaves, Keith!

  10. Thanks, Bill! I thought the Super would shave closer, but they don’t! The only additional feature they bring to the party is slightly more blade exposure and no protection from horizontal slices, which are an issue for his royal shakiness, me! So I’m back with Proguards to stay with the DX.
  11. Most soaps I have fixes the neck sensitivity issue, Zingari Man, BAUME.BE, PAA, Wholly Kaw, Stirling and many others. For the 'difficult' soaps (arko, mainly), I just add a couple drops of glycerin to the soap as I'm lathering. This helps.

Wanted to try ETHOS. Sent an email order (with address at his request) for Success and Lavender versions of soaps, both with matching aftershave, face preshave roll, as well as face serum. Never heard back.
  12. Great shave, Joe! I haven't tried a Treet blade yet; how are they? Hopefully school goes well this week.

  13. Great photo, Jeff! Glad the new hold on the Revere worked better. Interesting solution to finishing the dome shave. I bet that was met with some trepidation.

  14. That is quite the impressive samples and not haul Bill! Wow....looks like a couple of mine from both Stirling and PAA awhile back. I'm guessing shave cart #3 is in contemplation now? ;) ENJOY!

That is a great scuttle Charlie! Nice....
  15. It's also important not to give up, Joe.

  16. For today's shave I returned to to that of yesterday ( Jeeves Bay Rum soap, Stephan Bay Rum A.S.). My brush of use was the Jayaruh #59. I'm in the middle of a threefer with this combination(new brush tomorrow, though). 0:40 to load the Jeeves BR. I made sure to do plenty of "sweeping" to have a strong amount of soap everywhere. 2 good passes. A Knick during pass #2, and while it looked a little threatening during the pass, the Stephan wiped it out(or the jist of it anyway). I just saw on the ingredients(of the Stephan)that it has lanolin, Do all Bay Rum aftershaves have this? Certainly would help to explain the softness of my skin at shave's end. 2 other Knicks showed up, but you could barely see them. Nice shave. Ready to go to PT now and probably the gym afterwards. Since there were 3 Knicks in all-Very Excellent.

  19. One season, a guy on my high school basketball team taped that picture to his locker. He was a bit of a twerp and I envisioned him as the frog. :D
  20. Nice Bay Rum shave, Paul! That's good to know about the lanolin in the Stephan.
