Finally found a type A to almost complete my Schick collection. This one has the earlier of the two guard types available for this model & gold banding on the handle which I believe is uncommon.
Now if I can just find a 1946/47 type G Christmas set...

I've never seen a N.O.S. one so I can't say if that is just a case of the plating being worn off or it was only partially plated when sold. Unfortunately it doesn't show the angle to see it but on the stem for the razor head on the opposite side should have what I think is a serial or production number for the razor. When you get yours can let me know even if only through pm what number is stamped on it? Mine is 116. Yours should be in the 200s or lower. If they are production numbers knowing the second style guard like the B1 razors exist with a production number in the 200s if yours is also lower then we can take a guesstimate of how many of these early Type A razors were actually made.

I am so weak... However, I am selling my CH3, so it's a wash!

I'm guessing it was partially plated when sold as I have seen at least one other like it online in the past. Once I have it in hand I'll be sure to let you know what number is stamped on it.

I have a number of items I’m waiting on; however there’s 3 items I’m very excited to get my hands on. First from @John Beeman is a Skin Bracer left hand decanter; which will match my right hand decanter of Skin Bracer. Second is in 2 parts. Part 1 is Acqua Di Parma Colonia Aftershave Lotion I bought for about $40 on eBay. Second part, again from eBay is a jar of Acqua Di Parma shaving cream I bought for $32.50 in new condition. Both AdP products came with free shipping and are sold from top rated sellers. The aftershave should arrive in a day or so; the shave cream will take a couple weeks since it’s being shipped from the U.K. I picked up the ADP cream and splash as a birthday gift from me to me as my birthday is on December 2nd.

Well, I have been wheeling and dealing some brushes as of late. Sold four and listing 3 more...bought 5, making that a net reduction of two.
These three are on the way to Primo.
