It was, I just couldn't feel the hairs being cut, and almost no noise. It is a very well made razor. Razor- Puma. Brush- RazoRock 400. M.K. 32 in tortoise Kirinite by Alfredo Gil - cream was I Coloniali Rhubarb lathered with a Keyhole 4, and it’s too hot for a balm so a splash of Myrsol did the trick.
Such a tasteful rescale on that 32 Steve… always love seeing that one. Went with a Cool shave today Charlie Lewis in Bocote Brush: Rudy Vey Suds/Splash/EDC: B&M Reserve Cool 2010 custom from Mr. Lewis. Can’t let Keith have all the modern smilers. Enjoy your shave. Tom
i just got the myrsol blue aftershave a while back.my wife asked where i got the cool vintage bottle from....
BTW, the Myrsol side ‘flutes’ were supposedly designed so that you could get a grip on the bottle with wet fingers and not spoil the not so waterproof label (then). I don’t know if this is true or not, but this tale has been around a while.
Rugby 1961 in spalted maple by Alfredo Gil - soap and AS were Stirling Green, the brush was a Simpsons 57.
