I get great results. It's among the handful with permanent bath sink presence. Feel is a little cart like, which I'm not crazy about, thus I use it mostly for clean ups. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
The E-2's have the feature of being able to open the head to clean the blade or replace it without using the injector mechanism. If your razor does not have this feature than it is an E-3 and it still is a great razor. Your razor looks great so you got a great gift from your BC friend. The striations look as if they were damaged and not the originail designtl. I would be interested to know how the shave will go once you use it, Charlie.

Thanks Joe. I appreciate your help. Based on @BBS very helpful thread about Schick Type E Injectors, it appears that mine has stops (see photo) and does not open easily for cleaning. If I can't open the razor without damaging it, it makes cleaning out the nooks and crannies more challenging. It seems like I could pry the mechanism 'up and over' the stop to open it up, but maybe that's a bad idea? I'm open to suggestions from anyone here that has experience with Schick injectors. Thanks!
I know some people have played with it, but I would leave it be. I have never worried about cleaning the inside because I get 10 shaves on a blade and rinse it thoroughly. When you finally eject the old blade with the new blade, I believe that most of the stuff comes out. I have never had an infection, rash or anything that would cause problems due to hygenic failures. This is based on 2 yrs experience using my Schick. Again, everyone's level of comfort is different.
I appreciate the offer. You just let me know when you are going to be in town and I'll have some work lined up. Looks like you are set up. That chain sharper is the way to go. We have one made by Oregon that is similar. A sharp chain is the way to go. Take care!
