I have found out that it’s probably a 6/8”… not imperial inches but Swedish inches. Imperial is 25,4mm and Swedish 24,74mm. It was used a long time after the introduction of the metric system. I was in the mood for some familiar favorites, so the Crookes rattler was up, along with MdC rose and Myrsol Plastic Shave. A Zenith boar did the lathering. Great way to start the weekend.
6/8 Le Grelot Merle Blanc, perhaps named after the movie? The hone is very plain but very good and the shave was excellent. Cream was Harris Number 29 lathered with a Semogue Galahad and a splash of Harris Pink topped off a great Sunday shave.
6/8 Texican Shumate, soap was IC Mango Oil with the matching Rhubarb balm, and a Zenith boar did the lathering.
