Still playing around with new razors and stones, lots of fun. Geneva 6/8 Pyramid, cream was SMN lathered with a lime Paladin Chief, and Myrsol Agua Balsamica finished up.

 

Vintage 7/8 TI Bijou de France, today’s soap was MdC rose. A M&F Finest did the lathering and Myrsol Plastic Shave topped off MdC Monday.

 

Tuesday morning shave, 1166 ERN Wald, The Crown and Sword. Smooth as a peach .

Of course I am proud of you Steve! The thing with Jernbolaget is that they bought all straights from other manufacturers. So I guess that your razor could be a CVH or a JA Hellberg just looking at the scales

I have found out that it’s probably a 6/8”… not imperial inches but Swedish inches. Imperial is 25,4mm and Swedish 24,74mm. It was used a long time after the introduction of the metric system. That could be the reason why Swedish razors seldom have the same measurements as British or US razors
We also still use the term dussin (12) and half dussin (6)…

I was in the mood for some familiar favorites, so the Crookes rattler was up, along with MdC rose and Myrsol Plastic Shave. A Zenith boar did the lathering. Great way to start the weekend.

 

6/8 Le Grelot Merle Blanc, perhaps named after the movie? The hone is very plain but very good and the shave was excellent. Cream was Harris Number 29 lathered with a Semogue Galahad and a splash of Harris Pink topped off a great Sunday shave.

 

6/8 Texican Shumate, soap was IC Mango Oil with the matching Rhubarb balm, and a Zenith boar did the lathering.

 

Wednesday morning shave, CVH MK No. 30 with Ivory scales, smooth as a peach .
