Sunday Schick shave, July 16th 2023

Razor : Schick i2 with the hydro-magic feature- Mfg 1954-57, mild to tame mid range, excellent design for quick cleaning of blade + finish is adequate for my shaving needs. Very nice razor to work the face and received a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector (11) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. I usually toss after 10 shaves but the blade was showing good life left so why not give another 1 or 2 shaves I was thinking.
Soap : Razorock Emperor- sharp parallel scent that's unique with excellent lather qualities. I enjoy the aftershave scent slightly more.
Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite synthetics for performance and in the hand feels natural.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Emperor after shave with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper operator error = excellent shave with my Schick i2 with a Personna injector blade.

Sunday shave, July 23rd 2023

Razor : Yaqi TFC adjustable- Mfg 2021>, well made and works well for my shave needs + affordable. This razor is based off the the 1930's Gibbs adjustable design but takes regular Gillette blades where as the Gibbs had proprietary blades. I receive nice shaves from the TFC adjustable and that is all I want in a razor. This morning had a close shave with no issues.
Blade : GSB (1) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier in my blades.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum + sage & cedarwood- nice Bayrum scented soap + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " barber shop pole" 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great splay scrubber + great lather painter. I enjoy this brush + has a nice big handle for large hands if needed.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG (3) + ATG(4) + pickups (4 settings).
Post shave : Witch hazel beard area cleanse +Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + minor irritation + no weepers= Had a close shave with minor issues post shave with a fresh GSB blade. Should of left setting on 3 for ATG pass, one of those forgetful mornings.

Sunday Schick shave, July 30th 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector Canadian variant- Mfg 1930's -40's, mid range, well designed and built to last. It performs well for myself and had a great shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE injector(9) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream, it has a destinct rose scent 5-6/10 strength + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic Sky" 24mm 3band silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice gentle splay + excellent lather painter. One of my favorites for face feel and performance and great handle to hold on to.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Witch hazel beard cleanse + Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper= excellent shave with my Schick E2 injector razor with a Personna coated injector blade.

SE Sunday shave, Aug 6th 2023

Razor : Yaqi "Katana" SE- Mfg 2019>, tame mid range, simple clamping system but can be a bit tricky making sure the blade is aligned properly(I just take a paper tuck and bump blade in place with minimal pressure and then tighten clamp.). I'm not 100% sold on 1/2 blade razors but they do work well when loaded. They are nimble to work the face stubble area but are not a whole lot smaller than a normal DE IMO. Had a nice morning shave with no issues.
Blade : Gillette Astra 1/2 blade(1) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Gillette Pure Cream, nice sweet clean scent with excellent lather qualities. Makes excellent ubber lather also(mixed with remnants of hard soap in bowl).
Brush : Yaqi "Ever Helpful" 22mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, excellent scrubber, reasonable lather painter. This little 2band badger has a shorter HD loft with soft tips is ideal for fellows who enjoy soft badger scrubbing IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock blue barber with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a excellent shave with my Yaqi Katana SE with a Gillette Astra SP blade.

The De Vergulde Hand Shave Soap lathered well with the Red and Black Badger Brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor and a Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
