Sunday Schick shave, May 28th 2023

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant - Mfg 1930's - 40's, mid range, well made to last many generations with a little care.
This is one of my favorite injectors, very nimble and its a nice change up every week to use a injector. Had a close shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (7) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Razorock Don Marco, nice citrus scent strength 5/10 with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Purple haze" 24 mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber(Razorock) Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave this morning with my Schick E2 with a coated Personna blade.

Razor : Gillette Fatboy, E4- Mfg 1959 4th qtr, well built to last for generations, I find this Gillette Fatboy one of their better razors from my shaving experiences, I get nice results and very few issues over the years of use + birthday yr razor.
Blade : Personna red (3) sharp & smooth with great longevity. Top 5 tier blades.
Soap : Yaqi Green, nice scented soap + excellent lather qualities. Yaqi commissioned M.S.Creations S.A for their line of soaps and aftershaves and did a nice job of it IMO. Green is one of my favorite scents.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm Tuxedo knot, Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Nice big handle for large hands and a joy to use.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG(7) + ATG(7) + pickups(8 setting).
Post shave : Yaqi Green( similar to Lacoste green cologne) with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gillette Fatboy with a Personna red blade.

Sunday Schick Shave, June 18th 2023

Razor : Schick adjustable injector Model#3(AKA=M3)- Mfg 1970-72, well built and the design is very user friendly. I find #3 setting about right and #4 setting for pickup pass. With a little care this razor will last more generations and is fast to shave with IMO once your comfortable with it.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (7) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream, very nice rose scent 6-7/10 for strength with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Mysterious space" 24mm 3band silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick M3 injector with a coated Personna injector blade.

Gillette Sensor 2 disposable
Dr. Bronner lime shave soap

2 pass rough BBS

Nothing wrong with the disposable, it is what it is. Whipped with the brush, this soap lathers up into something that looks like shave-worthy foam but isn't. It's slick but thin with no body or protection, and very drying. I've used countless bar soaps that perform better. Great scent but cannot recommend.

 

Nah, it's a fine hand soap or shampoo.
