Sunday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 4 Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo SS Prep ASB Osage Rub AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum This Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap in my honest opinion is a true frozen delight - the scent is magnificent, like all of Rod’s soaps it’s tallow based so it gives wonderful lather with tons of slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and it gives such awesome skincare. The Prep balm is so soothing as well as moisturizing, and the Osage Rub-aka the Rubby Dubby Doo is another menthol atom bomb. Last but not least the irresistible Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m good to go. What else can I say - another tip top three pass BBS shave that was lots of fun! Wednesday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 7 Stirling Glacial Citron SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash Oh la la my dear brother Rod is a true soap and aftershave genius - his Glacial Citron……WOW!!!!!!!! The scent is so beautiful - it’s a blend of lemon, lime, and a little grapefruit, the soap’s tallow formula gives it such wonderful lather that’s so thick, rich, MEGA SLICK as well as protective, the menthol sensation is off the charts, and the postshave care is awesome. The Stoffel balm has a very nice peppermint scent, just a small amount is enough to coat your face with lots of moisturizing, and soothing, and is it ever freezing cold. I finished off with the beautifully scented Glacial Citron aftershave and it also gave me two boatloads of menthol goodness. Menthol Monday: A lulu of a Grand Freeze this morning! L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 12 Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Floid Vigoroso AS Splash My wife walked by my bathroom (she has hers and I have mine!) and she said she could smell the Glacial Obsidian soap when I was lathering up and shaving - man oh man do I ever LOVE its black licorice scent, it lathers like a beast, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and it has the typical fantastic Stirling skincare. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard is another menthol atom bomb with a lovely peppermint scent and it’s so soothing as well as extremely moisturizing. Finally a couple of generous splashes of the Floid Vigoroso aftershave and my wife said that I smelled like an old barber - that’s how I love to smell. L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 5 Stirling Glacial Margaritas in the Arctic SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Osage Rub AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum Did I ever enjoy the Glacial MITA this morning - this soap has exactly the same lovely citrusy/tropical scent as the regular version with the same great, slick lather but the menthol sensation is much more intense, and the postshave feeling is so awesome. The Stoffel balm provides such wonderful soothing as well as moisturizing along with tons of menthol goodness, and the Rubby Dubby Doo is another menthol atom bomb. Finally the gorgeous Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m ready to enjoy another day of retirement - hey, it’s Victoria Day here in Canada! Friday morning: King C. Gillette Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 9 Stirling Electric Sheep SS Cera Ve Moisturizer Brut Attraction Totale AS Splash Do I ever LOVE this Electric Sheep soap - everything about it to me is fantastic. The scent is lovely - it’s a blend of citronella, lemon, with some eucalyptus thrown in for good measure, its mutton tallow formula gives the lather wonderful thickness, richness, as well as super slickness, and it leaves my skin feeling like it’s born again. The Cera Ve moisturizer works great as a balm, and the Brut Attraction Totale aftershave smells quite nice. Three passes resulted in a fabulous, enjoyable BBS shave! Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: Cool shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 2 Stirling Glacial Citron SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash A beautiful sunny morning here in town with warm temperatures expected so I decided to pull out some of my mentholated heavy artillery. Wow, the Glacial Citron soap and aftershave have such a beautiful scent - lemon, lime, tangerine and a little grapefruit all come together to give a great refreshing effect, the soap’s tallow formula gives it awesome lather with the famous Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable - moisturizing and very soothing. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard has a lovely peppermint scent and powerful menthol, not to mention how frigid the Glacial Citron aftershave is. L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 12 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB Floid Vigoroso AS Splash After using this setup I think my face will need all day to thaw out - my Lord, this Glacial Electric Sheep is a menthol atom bomb. Like the regular version of Electric Sheep it’s mutton tallow based with the same lovely citronella/lemony/eucalyptus scent, it gives brilliant lather with so much slickness, the menthol sensation is enough to knock down a horse, but the postshave feeling is so soothing and comfortable. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard is incredibly moisturizing, I love its peppermint scent, and is it ever freezing cold. Finally the Floid Vigoroso aftershave went on with its gorgeous old school barbershop scent and a terrific menthol punch. Three passes gave me one helluva great BBS shave that was sheer rapture! Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze: A wonderful new soap in my Den! Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/new Wilkinson Sword Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum Yesterday I received this Glacial Iceberg Island along with some other Stirling goodies so I decided to give it a spin and it’s absolutely WOWWWWWWW!!!!!!! It’s a tallow based beauty like all of Rod’s soaps with a lovely scent that I find a bit difficult to describe, the lather explodes off my brush - it gets so thick, rich, creamy, super Stirling slick, the menthol sensation is mega potent, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Prep delivered lots of extra soothing skincare, and the Snake Bite aftershave froze me to smithereens. Finally the gorgeous Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I was good to go. Friday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 2 Stirling Glacial Mango Sunrise SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB MSC Citrus Melody AS Splash Fantastic stuff from three dear brothers of mine - the Glacial Mango Sunrise soap is a TREASURE. Do I ever LOVE the scent which is tropical with creamy notes, it gives brilliant lather that’s so slick, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the skincare is like from of ALL of Rod’s soaps - numero uno. Jaco’s Stoffel balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing, it has a ton of menthol in it, and its peppermint scent is lovely. Finally what can I say, Fernando’s Citrus Melody aftershave went on frigidly cold with no sting or burn because it’s witch hazel based and the scent is heavenly. L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 4 Stirling Glacial Cedar SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash This Glacial Cedar soap and aftershave were belated birthday gifts from one of my best friends and do I ever LOVE them. The scent is absolutely MAGNIFICENT and when I say MAGNIFICENT I mean MAGNIFICENT. Along with the cedar I seem to detect a trace of lemon - the soap is such a pleasure to lather, the slickness is so awesome, the menthol sensation is………WICKED, and the postshave feeling is so soothing as well as comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me lots of additional chilling love, and the Glacial Cedar aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its delightful scent that my wife also loves. L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 5 Stirling Glacial Frozen Tuxedo SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Frozen Tuxedo AS Splash What a delightful soap and aftershave this Glacial Frozen Tuxedo are - they’re renamed after originally being called Eskimo Tuxedo because of some controversy that unfairly targeted Rod. The scent is absolutely BEAUTIFUL - it’s Green Irish Tweed all the way or Sharp Dressed Man but with killer cold menthol. I had so much joy lathering up the soap and the slickness had my razor skating across my face. The Prep felt so moisturizing as well as soothing and the Glacial Frozen Tuxedo aftershave gave me its frigid menthol kick along with its heavenly scent. Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 10 Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash These days I’m on a Stirling Glacial kick and I’m really loving it. It felt like heaven to catch the beautiful scent of the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap while I was lathering up and to feel the bone chillingly cold menthol sensation. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm and it gives a very good menthol feeling. Last but not least the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave went on icy cold with almost no stinging and its scent has great staying power. L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 12 Stirling Glacial Mango Sunrise SS Bundubeard Stoffel ASB MSC Citrus Melody AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum Wow, if this setup doesn’t freeze your face off then nothing will - the Glacial Mango Sunrise is a bona fide menthol atom bomb with a gorgeous scent, the lather is sumptuous - so easy to work up, it has the signature Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation can freeze a polar bear’s butt off, and the postshave feeling is wonderful. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard has a nice peppermint scent, it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and it gives a STRONG menthol effect. The Citrus Melody aftershave is an awesome creation from my brother Fernando in Johannesburg, South Africa and it smells amazing not to mention how frigid it is. Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 3 Stirling Glacial Cedar SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash My second outing with this new Glacial scent and I absolutely freaking LOVE it - is it ever BRILLIANT. Along with the cedar I think I detect a slight lemony note, the soap lathers wonderfully with the signature Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation can freeze a polar bear’s ass off, but the postshave feeling is so soothing as well as comfortable - like ALL of Rod’s soaps. The Gold Bond moisturizer has no shortage of menthol either and it’s great for sensitive skin. Finally the lovely scent of the Glacial Cedar aftershave along with its bone chilling menthol kick and the job was completed.
