Finished a restoration of a #7 type 7 Stanley wood plane from the late 1800's. It's 22 inches long Pictures posted on the Haul 2025
I got to shoot a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 with a compensator (my husband's pistol). I've never used a .22 with a compensator before. OMG, It was rock steady!
How thoughtful of someone to name a gun club after it. Though, if they really wanted to do that they’d have the “Autocorrect Pistol Club”
I have a MK III 22/45 Lite, but it is extremely ammo sensitive. CCI Mini-mags is about the only thing it will reliably feed. I had a MK II years ago with a 5” heavy barrel that was a real tack driver. I hate that I got rid of that gun, but at the time I needed a printer for letters and resumes, so I did what I needed to do at the time.
I have a couple Mark II Rugers. The 6 7/8” heavy barrel Government model is a tack driver. I changed the upper on this one and it’s a lot of fun.
Nice! Love it! I need to get another Government heavy barrel model. The 22/45 Lite just isn’t what I thought it would be.
I went to an archery competition, in Lancaster, PA on Saturday. I shot 469 out of 600. My previous score (about 2 weeks ago) was 467 out of 660. I did the math; it’s about a 7% improvement so I am pretty pleased. I placed third in my division.
Well, I was definitely a bit choked up but didn't cry my eyes out when JoAnna posted the bad news, ok 1 tear maybe. I’ll miss most everyone here that I had the high honor and pleasure of communicating with and learning from!
We went to a commercial gun range today. Just for fun, I rented a .40 caliber Sig. Never shot that caliber before. It was fun.
Played bass on our worship team. Preached my sermon, "Why He Came, Why He's Coming Back." Walked the dog. Watching football. Doing laundry. Yup. Typical Sunday.
