I've not been able to be as active as in the past, life and all, but I still tried to come and peruse a bit at least once a week. It's actually been a few months and I finally get a moment to check back in and see the news. I too can only echo already shared sentiments of sadness and gratefulness, and some awesome conversations, hilarious discussions, and overall great camaraderie. I may check into some of the other sites, if I can recall my login info (if it's still active), and some of the new ones, but they will never be TSD. Lots of shared celebrations, losses, and achievements shared here, it's been a special place. But I also know Joanna and Sparky have worked hard at keeping this amazing place running (and many other volunteers over there years), and fully understand the decision and how difficult it must have been. Thank y'all for everything
As the day gets closer you start to realize how much was put in on TSD, Jun 2 2009 is when I joined here, whole lotta posts in the last 16+ years This will be missed, and it is starting to dawn on me how much fun we had here over the years
I joined about a week and a half after you, Glen. What you say is so true. I've been on and off the den the past couple of years, but since finding out the Den is closing, I've been on a considerable amount more. Some great times with some great folks, to be sure.
I'm glad I logged in when I did. I've had several life-changes (like getting separated) in the last several years and my online presence has diminished because of it. I will miss TSD and everyone here. Best of luck to you, and everyone else on here!
We joined within months of each other (I joined in June of 2008), but life has gotten in the way of a lot of things in the last several years. TSD got me through some tough times too, then I just got too busy. I'll miss everyone here... ....even if I only occasionally got a little respect.

6. The Shaving Room https://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/community/ You can find me here. I hate how it is with posting links they need to be approved and then the message will take 2--3 days to be approved then they put/keep it in the correct order of when the post was made. This is not helpful on the site. Basically, past the basics of posting they are charging people to use the site for more than just links despite have ads on the site for all but the highest level of charging. This means due to being at the basic no paying level I can only do posts with pictures as links need a moderators approval.
I know the name of the site Badger & Blade. I was told not so say the site runners name when I went into the New poster to the forum section. The site has gone even more off the rails with the now anonymous self-reporting by a cult of people in a political spectrum who are poorly educated or are highly autistic/ADHD but not allowed to be unless a politician to abuse these drugs to quickly push their dangerous ideas forward. I had to find a site that either bans these people who post shaving items their political cult leader or people working for him like his functional in society sons, in-laws, and daughters are helping hawk like the straight edge that looks like this one you can get new here or that they are having his signature on. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266338273098? Only during my first warning did the person who got me ban did he leave the site for my reporting but only after enough people had complained about him having a Colt 45 revolver with his Colt Shaving soap/cream and the one time it was pointed at the person looking at it. This guy a recent while I was on the site convert from his limited edition red handle Rex he sold to a person on the site who was trying to buy every Rex model ever made to the one in link with the political cult leaders name on it. He said it was so bad in the blade angle and it took 2 hours to get sharp and for him it had to be like the Rex/Feather blades.
No luck in getting the @Queen of Blades to help with the transition to be the new owner of this site?
I was somewhat surprised to read this, but only somewhat. Forums in general have been fading away in recent years. This place sure had a good run, though! For those worried about what will happen to the information contained here, not to worry. Knowledge was constantly exchanged between the wetshaving forums over the last 20 years, and has long since diffused onto the wider Internet. It will be around for many, many years to come. Sparky, Queen of Blades, PlanOfMan, and all the other mods past and present, thank you very much for all the time, effort, and expense you put into this place.
