This just came in, a box with mirror used for shavegear. I saw an advertisement on a dutch 'ebay' site called Marktplaats for this box, just 1 picture but I saw the Gillette Slim lieing in the box. So I thought why not bid on it, so for only €7,50 I got it! Box is beyond repair, the Tabac is almost finished, hairs shed only from looking at the brush, Slim is usergrade but it was a bargain!
Hi Friends, today i received a few very nice things. First of all i received this: How to grow a Moustache Pumpkin 3.14 ...i was surprised as i opened the !!!SEALED!!! puck. It was the first time i bought a shaving soap, that was sealed,so that no scent could go outside the puck. I´m very impressed!!! I just opened the puck. That´s the original consistancy of the soap. There was no water on it or anthing...just in original consistancy. ...and i got these nice items. I´m glad that i have found the 444 cream.Heared very good things of it.Curious about the swedish Rapira...Sunday can come!!! So my friends, have a great time. Greetings Thorsten
Got the mug and a aftershave bottle at an antique store for $2 and $5 Got this off eBay for $20 with shipping. The cologne and talc bottles are almost full but the brush handle is cracked. You can see the crack in the pic.
Two arrivals today. Used I Coloniali soap with terracotta bowl and MDC from Jason. Last week used MWF in ceramic bowl and used tube Musco shaving cream. It's been a fun ride for two months building my shave den from ground zero to what it is today.
Brush Semogue Barbear Clássico #98/100 Boar Hi ChiefShaver, Just for you to know thai if you want more 444 cream, i provide you with some, because they are a bargain in Portugal. About the How to grow a Moustache Soap, it has good reviews, but very difficult to have it in Portugal. Regards.
Hi Rui, thanks for your information. I´ll keep that in mind. The soap is very good. Smells heavenly and with a less amount of water,my lather will be better next time. I like your brush. The handle looks very very nice.Have tons of fun with that beauty. Greetings Thorsten
I've been on a bit of an eBay spree ............. my bad !!! Has anyone else ever sen or heard of YUMA razors? Looks like cast aluminium, not great quality I imagine but could well work well as a travel razor as it is very light, yet strong. I have a few strange razors now, I figure Gillette is not the only company on earth that can take your money for a "close Shave". Obviously, I acquiesced and brought a "Gillette Travel Tech"? set which is aluminium handle and base plate with a chrome plated brass top plate in a tin which weighs more than the razor ?????
They are locally available here for a dollar, or even less. Made from pot metal in Turkey, but once you manage to set blade right, it shaves pretty well. Can be a lot fragile, so watch out. Mine shaved really nice, but gave it away. Look on the net, a lot info about it.
In the 'Trip from mild to aggressive' razor thread, the Yuma was recommended by 2 TSD members. Page 5…. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/safety-razors-my-trip-from-mild-to-aggressive.34763/page-5
Dad picked up a few things for me at a local antique store: An Old Spice razor/brush stand, a Listerine blade bank, and an Ever Ready SE razor/stropper set (appears to be military issue?)
One more straight razor pick-up before November ends. M. E. Reppenhagen Diamondine#7 (Soligen) It is in need of some cleaning, polishing and honing, but the price was right. Hopefully, it will look more like the inset image below, post-clean up.
I have a GREAT DAD! I was blessed with much better parents than I deserved, and I am very thankful for them. Sure! Mom & dad's house has always been open to anyone. (I have several friends that still show up there at mealtime on a regular basis)
