What do you all do with your used blades? Any recommendations for something other than just tossing them in the trash? I have an 18 month old son who has a bad habit of trying to get things out of the trash can and I would hate for him to grab a de blade!!

Don't throw them In the trash can! Make or buy a container. Use a can, slice a whole in the top or buy one from many different vendors.

Some blades come in a plastic dispenser with a slot on the back for used blades.
But as RaZorBurn said, don't just toss 'em in the trash. An empty tin can or Altoids tins work just fine.

That's even a better deal. My first container was an empty peanut butter jar. Clean and cut a slit in top, tape the lid.

    Can't beat FREE! :happy088:

Your "first container was" would indicate you're on to more containers. How long have you been at this that you would have already filled a peanut butter jar?!?!!:shocked003:

I took a fairly large old medicine bottle with the child proof top and used a dremmel and a disc cutter and cut a slit in the center of the cap. Now I just drop one or two blades a week in there and when it is full I transfer them to a metal coffee container for disposal.

Larger empty medicine or vitamin bottles work well too and may even come with a "child & senior citizen proof" lid.

Looks like FacialCarnage beat me to it mostly.

Dollar Store piggy banks work well too, but that might not go over too well with little ones.

I don't have any blades to dispose of, yet. However, I'm going to use an empty Tylenol bottle. I'm not going to bother cutting a slot in the top, as there are no minors around, and the bottle has a safety lid.

This is what I did. I got an old hard bandaid box with flip lid. Then I cut a slit in the lid and glued a blade on the slit. Used razors fit right through the middle of the blade and fall right in. Then I made this image on the computer and glued it on and wrapped it with clear packing tape. :)

Theres a lot of cool ideas that people came up with on here.

Looks like fun. I posted some pictures earlier and can't find them.

Being a part time sideshow geek, I swallow my used blades as part of my act.

I put them in an Altoid Smalls tin.

One of these is true, I'll leave you all to decide what you'd like.
