Put them in a blade bank of some sort and throw them away? Or are you thinking of something else? What have you been doing with them?
You can get a blade bank for a buck or so from outfits like WCS and Bullgoose. Just add one on the next order you make. Alternatively, there are more than a few examples of DIY blade banks in the archived threads here. Most involve a soup can or some such thing.
A glass jar's good. Some people use a biohazard sharp's container for medical waste. I use an Altoids tin. I used to live in a house that had the slit in the medicine chest to drop blades into, but I didn't use DE back then unfortunately. I always wonder how many homes have walls filled with old blades from those cabinets.
I cut a slot in the top of a medicine bottle I figured they sell the banks cheap but a buck is a buck
I use the plastic package that packs of 5 blades come in (Feather, Wilkinson, et.al.) It already has a slot that will hold 7-8 blades behind the unused blades. When the front is empty, it will hold 40-70 used blades. That should take care of all of my blades that come in boxes.
nice i may make my own but my handwriting is terrible I type WAY faster then i write I'm that kinda nerd i guess lol
It is an old hand cream jar. I cleaned it out, cut a hole in the top, glued an old blade on top, and taped my home made label on with packing tape. I actually have two. I made this one with a Noxzema jar.
I use a plastic bottle with a slit I made on the screw. Though I have put at least two dozens of blades in there, the bottle is still almost empty. I wonder how many blades fit into a half pint size: a few hundred? I am intending to bring the blades to a scrap dealer for recycling. Anything else is a waste.
