1. Yeah it didn't want to stop bleeding, a cut about 3/4 inch long. It's closed up great though with nary a scar, gotta give the feather cred for that.

But holy snot the stypic made me almost punch the wall lol.

  2. Ouch...that would be a great opening post for a new thread "Shaving Cringe moments" :D

  3. Yeah they have show your nicks blood etc threads elsewhere but it makes me cringe looking at people's cuts lol.

Plus it was pretty gnarly. Like a scalpel cut. You could do surgery with a feather blade!
  4. Worst shaving related 'cringe' story I read on some forum was about this guy who bought an old razor off ebay and went to town scrubbing the top of it...not seeing that there was an old blade in it...and basically deli-sliced his thumb against it as his thumb slid back and forth on the blade....ughh........... [not me though!]

  5. Holy yikes......

I saw an aftermath pic of a first time DE user who couldn't not mishandle a blade. Sliced himself no less than 3 times on his fingertips. Blood everywhere. He was all like "this is stupid and dangerous I'm never trying it again"... Lol!

    OK I'm making a thread.

  6. I bought a lot of injectors and sliced my left index finger last month on an old blade. That story actually makes me a little nauseated...
  7. Please no!! Lol

  9. I learned that a fresh Voskhod in the R41 is a great combo for a 3 day beard.
  10. Today I learned...

TSD Lanolin Shave Sticks are easy to apply to the face, and explode into rich lather when hit with a wet brush.

(I bowl lathered it the first time I used it)

  11. I learned today:
    • Shaving in the tub with a hand mirror is as cool as it looks in the westerns....
  12. No doubt!
  13. I usually shave before 6:00 a.m., but never right out of bed while I'm still groggy. :signs062: Otherwise, I'll be posting over in @youngunn 's Cringe Worthy thread!
  14. I've done that, it's pretty fun.

  15. Don't shave over the cut the cat left on your chin.
  16. I learned that I may be in love with Tabac.

  17. I learned...

I still have a lot to learn in soap lathering, I couldn't get good lather from Whoos soaps until today when I started with brush full of water. So I need to go through each soap and cream and perfect the lather.
  18. I learned that I needed to choose a different brush for this mornings shave, the badger didn't have enough backbone. I should've went with my Omega boar! Next time..

  19. I learned my styptic pencil worked extremely well. I can't believe I never heard of this amazing tool until taking up wet shaving. Ironically I have cut myself less now that I'm using a DE.
  20. Details >here<, but I have slightly downgraded my esteem for the underdog of razors: the Yuma. It delivers a very good shave — and let no one say otherwise :yoda2 — but the journey can be as important as the destination.
