    Planned SOTD 02/10/15
    Razor: ATT S1 Slant
    Blade: PoliSilver (NOS Vintage) (D2)
    Brush: Thäter 4125/1 2-band
Bowl: Doug Smith 5" Shaving Mug
Pre Shave Scrub: SPAtopia Dead Sea Scrub
    Pre Shave Balm: Proraso Sensitive
Shave Soap: Tiki Pink Grapefruit & lemongrass
    Post: Monster Alum Block
    Aftershave: Pereja Limon Cicegi Kolonyasi

Tomorrow will be testing out a new soap from Tiki Bar Soap that has 3x the butter (Shea, Kokum, mango) that is not in production yet and still in the final testing phase. I really like her tallows over her vegan soaps but a quick test lather on the back of hand produced a creamy lather that was quite moisturizing on my hand so cant wait to try it out.

This morning I used the ATT S1 Slant for the first time and definitely like the feel of this razor, the audio feedback it provides which another two pass shave that required no touch-ups. Will have to test this with other blades in my arsenal but stacks up as good if not better than my DLC iKon Slant.

    Terrific Tabacstag
What a great shave today! No worries, just smooth. I shouldn't be so surprised, since Tabac is such a dependable performer. I love the scent and it pairs well with Krampert's bay rum.
    Prep: Kiehl's face wash
    Soap: Tabac!
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod (2)

    2/10/15 - Blade Focus/Face Lathering February

Prep: warm wash and Cornhusker's Lotion
    Lather: TSD Grey Vetiver type
    Brush: Omega 10066
    Razor: Weber PH
    Blade: Shark (2)
    Post: Old Spice Pure Sport

The TSD soap is delivering right up until the end. I think I may have 1 more lather left. Today's 3 pass shave was outstanding. I took 14 minutes, including brush soaking and cleanup so I think I might be starting to get the hang of this!

    PSO: Palmer's oil
    lather: MWF
    brush: Omega 31064
    blade: Ladas (3)
    razor: Standard Razor
    finish: Barbasol Brisk

Very nice BBS, but I may still be sub-par on technique. However, I'll attribute the very slight irritation to end of blade life. Also, switching to Barbasol AS means I skipped the skin goodness inherent in those awesome DIY products**. The Brisk is no menthol blast, but it is a nice cooling breeze. Felt good, but it's no balm, is it?

**If'n you ain't tried 'em yet, you really should! I don't apply the term "womdigious" lightly! balm >here< ... splash >here<

Tomorrow's shave will be transitional because I am expecting two new razors on Thursday or Friday. I already posted about the generic Old type (here). The second was a capitulation to the cheap end of RAD, because I pulled the trigger on a Mercurry (here). While I was cruising Cheap Street, I also ordered a couple of RiMei, but they may be another week (or two?). I figured there is only one way to have an informed opinion! Who knows... depending on caprice, they could be the next PCR (PIF for Collective Review... aka pass-around).

    Tuesday's Shave

Prep: Hot shower w/ Grandpa's Pine Tar
    Lather: Arko
    Brush: Omega
Razor: '46-'50 Gillette Heavy Gold Tech
    Blade: Voskhod
Post: Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Scent: Pinaud Clubman

My shaves are pretty boring lately, trying to zero in on blades. I'm not sure what to think of Voskhod in the Tech. It's great for buffing around my chin, but not so good for ATG on my neck. Great shave though.
