04/10/2015 Prep – MR GLO Razor – Mongoose B2 with Jürgen Hempel Ti Blade – Feather Pro (7) Brush – Rubberset 400-3 with WSP HMW Lather – Strop Shoppe Baker Street Post - Witch Hazel and Dove AS Balm Fantastic 2 pass shave this morning. First pass ATG followed by XTG with just a small bit of cleanup. Certainly one of my better shaves. The Rubberset whipped up enough lather for 4 or 5 passes. Have a great Friday and a better weekend.

As I don't often shave on the weekends today marked the last day of my weeklong usage of the Tradere. I will truly miss it and I it's the first razor that have caused me to second-guess my plan to use different razors each week this year - as it will be a long time until I get to pick it up again... Wife reminded me we're invited to dinner out, so I needed a quick one. •DG Trac II on a generic brass handle •VDH in teak mug with Omega brush 2 pass efficiency followed up with my homebrew alum/menthol/Hazel mix, then some 1969 Avon Steel cologne (it'll fade to nothing before we get there). And a good shave was had by all. Or by me, at least.
Maiden voyage for this Omega boar (my first Omega!) & very pleased. Lathered up the Cade quite nicely - I probably would have been able to go for about 14 passes if I had the time.
Friday evening, April 10, 2015 Gillette ‘Fatboy’ Adjustable F-2 (1960), with an Astra SP blade (2), Omega Pro 20102 Boar bristle brush, lather-up with Mike's 'Orange Cedar Black Pepper' finish with water, Witch Hazel and Pinaud Clubman for a DFS! Another wonderful shave today. Aces!

SOTD 4-10-15 Razor: ATT M1 with Bulldog handle Blade: Platinum Lux (new) Soap: Arko stick Bowl: Shaveworks (used to pre-soak brush) Brush: VDH Boar Preshave was just face wash with warm water and post shave was rinse with warm water then some cold water splashes and pat dry! Shave was great, a DFS with one small nick but no irritation. Razor: Decided to go with the M1 plate today and it worked just fine! No complaints at all! It is mild for me so I use a little more pressure in the tougher areas, which might be why I got the one small nick I did get! Blade: I like this blade alot. I like it just as much as my Astra SP. Soap: This is my go-to soap. This Arko just works amazingly well with not to much effort and gives great lather and protection during passes. All you have to do is rub stick on your damp/moistened face then grab the brush and face lather it. Repeat for each pass as needed, so simple but so good! Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Thx.
