MAYhem & Mercy May 8, 2015 Prep - Hot shower and towel Brush - Tweezerman Badger Soap - Williams (As good as it's going to get)Mug Shaving Soap Razor - Soyuz 1 Blade - (1) Post - Alum, Nivea Replenishing Post Shave Balm The good news - no cuts, nicks, weepers or any other problems. The bad news - a blade this dull CANT'T cut you even if it wanted to! Seriously....this thing is DULL. As in NO SHARPNESS. As in I could have done better with some sandpaper and it would have felt better too. Three passes to failure. Didn't get CCS this morning and took extra time trying. Wow. Just wow. Plenty of irritation from trying but that's about all I got for it. Will throw it in the Rapira tomorrow to see if that helps. Sheesh! Happy Friday to all who were able to shave today! I just went through the motions!

TOBS Almond is the flavor of the day. I love the scent, but there simply is not enough cushioning for me to use this soap by itself on a regular basis. The lack of cushioning, compounded by the last 3 or 4 days with insufficient cushioning has left my face feeling abused. I have been using home made pre-shave oil for the last few days, but both the La Toja Stick and the TOBS Almond do not provide the protection I have come to expect. I think I will use MDC tomorrow. 3 passes, very smooth, but irritated. TOBS Almond Sputnik blade Slim Adjustable

Fridays shave. First shave with the new to me milord razor. I love the look of these even though they look just like a gold super speed. It is quite an aggressive razor. At some points I moved using it today. Others not so much. I will have to try it with different blades and give it some time to get use too. Still got a good close shave today. Pre Shave - Gillette Pre Shave Wash & Edwin Jagger Hydrating Pre Shave lotion Razor - Milord Blade - Wilkinson Sword Lather - I Coloniali Brush - Pilsson synthetic Aftershave - Nivea cooling balm & Old Spice
Mike, thank you for your kind words, my friend and I missed your photos the last few days! I hope you are well and that you were just busy.
FRIDAY Final day (Day#7) of 30-Day Focus with this particular razor After nearly a week of consecutive shaves with this ONE straight razor, I can officially state that Böker made a fine razor—even if this one is at least 80 years old. Now I do have a soft spot for this one because it was my first SR—the one I learned to shave with—but it remains a smooth, efficient performer. A definite keeper that is always a joy to use. The Böker is a tough act to follow, but I'll begin tomorrow with another SR to be used for the next 7 days. Have a blessed Friday all!
Mikey likey the TSD stick? I'm a real fan of them: great lather with a real nice menthol chill (I ordered a stack of them, all 'iced'). EZ to use, too!

There was a wasp. I managed to avoid the temptation to burn the house down to get it. As to the shave itself: The croap was fantastic, the blade better today than yesterday, and 3 passes were very comfortable, smooth, and BBS close. Great setup for great results.
