    Chiseled Friday
Solid shave today. The lather was thick and easy to make with my HIS. Der vorschlaghammer seemed a little angry this morning, or my neck was sensitive for some reason, so to avoid problems I did the last pass with my Aristocrat. My face is smooth and I have no weepers or irritation. Sherlock is a great scent!
    Prep: Mickey Lee preshave butter
    Soap: Chiseled Face Sherlock
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der vorschlaghammer, Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade: Astra SP

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr cold and beautiful is the best way to describe this shave. The Glacial Lavender soap lathered so nicely, gave me its incredible freeze with such a post-shave soothing feeling. The Glacial Wintergreen aftershave balm and witch hazel added to the frozen fun. My face feels like it has a built-in air conditioner! :D :happy108:

Nice shave this morning. I had intentions of using this brush for the month of May but have missed a few days already. If I get a chance I might rehandle it this weekend. Have a good one.

Prep - Hot shower and towel
    Brush - Tweezerman Badger
Soap - Williams (As good as it's going to get)Mug Shaving Soap
    Razor - Soyuz 1
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
Post - Alum, Nivea Replenishing Post Shave Balm

The good news - no cuts, nicks, weepers or any other problems. The bad news - a blade this dull CANT'T cut you even if it wanted to! Seriously....this thing is DULL. As in NO SHARPNESS. As in I could have done better with some sandpaper and it would have felt better too. Three passes to failure. Didn't get CCS this morning and took extra time trying. Wow. Just wow. Plenty of irritation from trying but that's about all I got for it. Will throw it in the Rapira tomorrow to see if that helps. Sheesh! Happy Friday to all who were able to shave today! I just went through the motions!

TOBS Almond is the flavor of the day. I love the scent, but there simply is not enough cushioning for me to use this soap by itself on a regular basis. The lack of cushioning, compounded by the last 3 or 4 days with insufficient cushioning has left my face feeling abused. I have been using home made pre-shave oil for the last few days, but both the La Toja Stick and the TOBS Almond do not provide the protection I have come to expect. I think I will use MDC tomorrow. 3 passes, very smooth, but irritated.
