It's funny seeing this because I am currently in the middle of a Bond marathon. On Man With The Golden Gun right now. This just made my day! Shaken not stirred.
That's a Corker Sir...These are surprisingly smooth shavers...I was taken aback by mine...Nice one... Billy...
Oh nice, you got the more rare one with the crackle-patterned handle. I remember there being a discussion about it also having a different stamp on its head. Hmm...if I could find that info of course....
These are my 3 Wolf Whiskers Brushes. It may help with your handle selection. Iliad Red & Black 70mm , DWW-3 Spring Forth 61mm, Odyssey Burnt Whiskey 70mm
Thanks! That is great to see! For the first brush I am considering a Burnt Whiskey in maybe a Bob or Julie or Pi..or..or.... I'm also drawn to the faux tortoise...
By the way, do you remember what sizes these knots are and how they were set - especially the burnt whiskey one?
All the knots are 24mm. The green brush a TGN Finest is set at 48-49mm. The other two are TGN High Mountain White set at 50-51mm.
Picked up another Pal with a $3.99 bid. The case is a little roached but the razor should clean up nice.
Bought this "khaki" set for $9 as I don't think I've seen that handle before and the head looks interesting as well. The seller described it "as new" so we'll see what it is when it gets here. It also comes with a Tech that has a bit of a fixer-upper-look to it.
Picked a Mickey Lee LBDS soap and milk from a fellow member. This is one of my wifes favorite soaps. Its currently sold out and not due to be produced again until next year so glad I stumbled across it.
Nice...that's what I would do. I also prefer his taller handles, so that color combo would probably look killer. I'm sure you will end up with a winner.
Heard back from Peter on it today: "No, I do not glue resins pieces together. Some brush makers do that, but I find that there are too many problems with longevity of the handle and also bubbles. I don't even attempt it anymore." So there goes that clever idea I'm in for two brushes...I'm thinking maybe one in full faux tortoise as I really like the look of it....gotta pick one by tomorrow
