I decided that I had to get one of Mongoose's 'least liked' handles... This is what the details read on my invoice: "The Most Hated Handle in Wetshaving - One of Ten Prototype Handles w/ cross-hatch knurling (discount for slight knurling flaws)" For $20 incl. shipping it's worth checking it out.... Stock photo as mine is in transit:
I didn't get one the last time a batch of these Olympic Schick razors came up for sale but now that there's a second batch up for sale (presumably from that same factory warehouse) I decided to just give in and get one. I mean, it's from the Olympic where a certain Bruce Jenner did fairly well...
Waiting on a stack of Stirling Soaps including and my personal favorite . Also waiting on a factory seconds 26mm Stirling brush!!
It's funny seeing this because I am currently in the middle of a Bond marathon. On Man With The Golden Gun right now. This just made my day! Shaken not stirred.

Oh nice, you got the more rare one with the crackle-patterned handle. I remember there being a discussion about it also having a different stamp on its head. Hmm...if I could find that info of course....
These are my 3 Wolf Whiskers Brushes. It may help with your handle selection. Iliad Red & Black 70mm , DWW-3 Spring Forth 61mm, Odyssey Burnt Whiskey 70mm
Thanks! That is great to see! For the first brush I am considering a Burnt Whiskey in maybe a Bob or Julie or Pi..or..or.... I'm also drawn to the faux tortoise...
By the way, do you remember what sizes these knots are and how they were set - especially the burnt whiskey one?
All the knots are 24mm. The green brush a TGN Finest is set at 48-49mm. The other two are TGN High Mountain White set at 50-51mm.
