1. Picked up these four vintage Muhle brushes for $35 shipped. At least one is marked DDR. They seem very usable.

    I really love these three:

And, well, then there's an 'ugly duckling' tagging along as well:

  2. I like the ugly duckling, It would be great as a childs brush for my kids when they wanted to pretend shave with me. they have some designated razors already that I can't use. some bladeless cartriges and a bladeless Gillette Sterling.

  7. Located an unopened vintage bottle of Xeryus. As my supplies are running low, and the new formulation is not as pleasing on my skin to me, I'm very excited to get this cologne.

  8. While not razor related, cooking and kitchen knifes are what got me into the razors... have been on a waiting list for a long time to get this new chefs knife made. HHH San Mai 240 mm gyuto qith ironwood and bog oak handle. and by chance he also had a Damascus pairing knife which I have been seeking for years. The design is ergonomically amazing for precision work. I cannot wait to get these in the rotation for the Thanksgiving. They are all razor sharp and could be used to shave!

  17. Also, on another bid, was able to get a rather different, to me at least, shaving mug.
Patented in 1910 by the Dowd-Rodgers Co (#285) a silver quadruple plated shaving mug with a built-in brush holder AND mirror.
For $30 it felt like a good deal.

Here it's in its folded-down state with the brush holder visible at the bottom:

Then, ta-da, it folds up to reveal a mirror that can be positioned over the shaving bowl.

Really looking forward to getting it next week, cleaning it up...and putting it back to work!! :D
