My Type C is coming from Europe and the Type A is coming from the States, so Im guessing I wont be doing any family photo's until early Dec.
My first, really excited about it I also just bought a strop from a user but I don't have any pics yet
The guy said is shave rady, he described his honing technique and said that he stropped, tested and disinfected it. I'm pretty confident that it will be as he said because he recommended straight razor place to me since it's my first one. Doing just that he earned my trust but I'll find out next week when it comes in
I had some blades say shave ready that came in he even described his hone progression but he left chips in one blade and never set a bevel on one more. The last blade came almost shave ready and after some time on a pasted balsa strop it really was shave ready. I tend to not trust sellers unless I know them. Then I almost don't trust them.
Picked up these four vintage Muhle brushes for $35 shipped. At least one is marked DDR. They seem very usable. I really love these three: And, well, then there's an 'ugly duckling' tagging along as well:
I like the ugly duckling, It would be great as a childs brush for my kids when they wanted to pretend shave with me. they have some designated razors already that I can't use. some bladeless cartriges and a bladeless Gillette Sterling.
Located an unopened vintage bottle of Xeryus. As my supplies are running low, and the new formulation is not as pleasing on my skin to me, I'm very excited to get this cologne.
While not razor related, cooking and kitchen knifes are what got me into the razors... have been on a waiting list for a long time to get this new chefs knife made. HHH San Mai 240 mm gyuto qith ironwood and bog oak handle. and by chance he also had a Damascus pairing knife which I have been seeking for years. The design is ergonomically amazing for precision work. I cannot wait to get these in the rotation for the Thanksgiving. They are all razor sharp and could be used to shave!
