°Pal Adjustable °Chinese Schick (thanks to Bama Samurai) °Palmolive cream I asked for a smooth injector shave, and I got one. Didn't take the Pal past Low but didn't need to. 2 pass BBS of 5 days growth. I still prefer Arko cream to Palmolive. Anyway, a great shave, I'm now sold on Schicks and will be parting with my stock of old carbon inj. blades (if anyone's interested). a/s: Blue Cross labs Brisk (SB knockoff)

December 24 Z3 Gillette Super Speed Feather (1) Semogue 830 Route 66 Lumberjack Two passes plus touch-ups Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and CC Bay Rum I've used this set up for all my Christmas Week shaves. I mostly finished with Floid Vigoroso AS, but I switched to CC Bay Rum today. The bay rum scent seems more appropriate for Christmas. The Super Speed is a mild razor, yet it provides a near-BBS shave with no irritation. Most days, I go ATG on my lower neck for both passes, giving me a much closer shave. Every so often, I will skip day's shave or eliminate one the ATG passes on my neck to give it a rest. I like to shave with more aggressive razors, but I think a mild razor like the SS works better for me as a daily shaver. The Semogue 830 brush has really softened up and broken in. I like the overall feel and handling of this brush better than the Omega Pro. The Route 66 Lumberjack soap continues to impress with easy, slick, protective, and great smelling lather. My Bride loves the scent, so that's an added bonus. I hope everyone has a Blessed Christmas. My Bride and I are spending Christmas Eve with my dear mom, my sister, and her husband.
Merry Christmas...eve... to everyone. To those that don't celebrate, I hope you still get some time off and have a wonderful holiday as well. Been playing with a PAL from a passaround. I went with a rare ATG pass and a half today. It went pretty well. Not quite a BBS but still comfortable. We'll see if any ingrown pop up over the next few days, but it doesn't feel like it so far. This is how you do a nativity with youngsters. Only missing Bob the tomato shepherd and Archibald the asparagus wise man.

Merry Christmas my dear friends! Freezing Friday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Derby day 5 OSP Grapefruit Menthol SS Krampert's Frostbite AS Acqua di Selva Cologne I saw a couple of You Tube videos and I'm really impressed at how these OSP soaps lather and perform. It'll be my first time using the Grapefruit Menthol and does it ever have a nice scent from the container - very citrusy with a STRONG menthol base. I was also told it's a hell of a face-freezer with excellent skincare. I'm very familiar by now with Brian Krampert's amazing Frostbite aftershave which is so well-named and feels so good. The Derby blade doesn't seem to want to quit! Enjoy this holiday weekend and stay safe!
