Slow Down 16 actually captures the spirit of NB16, though much less rigorous. I am trying to spend 2016 savoring every second of the experiences.
Is he the first to buckle? If so, doesn't he win something just like the first baby born in the New Year?
If not the first, he's the first to admit it. Normally, we'd make him sleep in the The Cackalacky dog house, but I understand he's quite comfortable out there.
Day 9 feeling great!! This reminds me of when I quit smoking and was looking at ways to reallocate my new found wealth! I am actually going a little in reverse in NB16. I am looking for ways to pare down my existing den! (Not that I have tons of hardware) That being said....If that grail straight razor or hone pops up....I'm in trouble!
We should post pics or a list of any of our shaving gear or software that we pare down, either through a PIF or finishing a soap or cream or a container of WH or AS, etc.
(part of the mocking has the vanquished needing to post in two places??! NB'16 as well? Sheesh!) I'm out. I know I have willpower and will continue on with my resolution to not buy this year. But I said I would break the resolution if any of my Grails came my way. One did tonight, a Schick type D. It's mine now. I will continue with No Buy From Now On '16 and continue to support all those who resolve to get through NB'16. @CyanideMetal - cue the Cosmo! Mock away!
I mentioned in a previous thread that I had put out a WTB feeler near the end of 2015 for a Georgetown Pottery Ambrose Brush Scuttle. These scuttles were commissioned by a user "Ambrose" on Badger and Blade back in 2010. Two versions were made. One is straight sided; the other has round sides. They are very rare and very hard to find. I am trying to acquire these scuttles to complete my Georgetown Pottery scuttle collection. Over the years I have acquired the G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G12, and G20 versions. Acquiring an Ambrose V1 and V2 will complete the collection and I believe this will be the only complete collection of Georgetown's scuttles in the free world. I am committed to NB for razors, blades, brushes, and soaps. However, if the opportunity arises to acquire the Ambrose V1 and V2 scuttles, I will make the purchase as the opportunity may be the one and only shot. Reckon I will join @Jayaruh in the SD versus NB category. Will keep you posted.
But Rufus if I am not mistaken.... you were one of my defenders in No Buy July when I fell! Run towards the light .......
