If a complete disassembly is necessary, I usually use a tiny bit of Vaseline. If it's just an occasional wipe down and lube, I use a drop or two...

I rinse my shaving brush thoroughly, take my razor apart (or open the doors) and give it a quick scrub under running water with my clean brush....
