I use an atra cart system on my head occasionally, but I prefer the trac II when face shaving when not using my straights.

There is a learning curve with using the old methods, such as blade angle, pressure, etc... Carts take care of the angle for you and pivot...
The old Gillettes will last forever since they're made out of brass and can't rust, unlike modern razors like EJ. With proper care they will last...
The bowl is a simple milk glass like the old shave mugs and the lid is plastic. No plastic in or around the bowl at all.
Far too expensive for what they do. They deliver a good shave, but a bunch of other cheaper carts will do the same for far less $.
I recommend the HD and the 89L, as they're can't lose options.
