How many layers of Kapton tape do you usually use on a wedge, frameback or hollow ground razor?
They very well may be, but they may also need honing to shave with. I know the the two I posted as users are already honed and shave ready.

This one is a little over 2 1/2" from the top of the ferrule to the top of the knot. It's in near mint condition for it's age, the knot that is!
