2011 Mühle R41: My Attempts to Cage ‘The Beast’

For some, the aggressiveness is too much for an everyday shaver. They instead work the R41 into their razor rotation.

I am an Open Comb lover but when i get in my hands the 2011 R41 i am extremely cautious
This DE can cut you easily and very bad,for me works better with 3 days beard.
Now with the "new" cap is a little bit softer but still needs attention,more than other OC DE's.

The 2013 IS a slightly safer razor than the 2011 version—but it is wise to be careful with both razors.

 

I jsut started using the 2013 R41 and love it. Is there a big difference in performance between the 2013 and 2011 versions?

That is a fantastic review and answers all my questions. I think I will stick with the 2013 version. I get great, comfortable 3 pass shaves with it every day. I will leave you gents with the 2011 beast.
