For 2014, I'm enforcing my trend on the past few months of 2013 - reducing and expanding :duel:

I'm reducing on soaps, creams and after shaves. I'm almost done. Then what's left is a few select soaps, creams and after shaves (~2 of each type). What I miss so far, is Valobra and MdC shaving soap. Then I should be about set for what suits my taste in that regard.

What's expanding is my razor inventory. Initially I didn't rotate much, but I've found a new love for that, so I'm expanding my tools to include new experiences. My Merkur 37C is already in the mail towards me and my first vintage straight should be well on it's way also. If my straight experience goes as planned, that's an area I'll look more into. Also I have a quest for vintage Gillette's. I'm an Old Type and NEW Improved short, so my search is ongoing.

Also when it comes to brushes I've expanded a bit and can see my self get even more in 2014. At first it was just a tool for me, but now I appreciate them more. Hence I need more

As for blades, I'm set for the next 25 years plus/minus. So that may just be an impulse buy here and there when a nice price surfaces. Nothing planned/needed.

2013 was the year I started traditional wet shaving. January 29th. to be exact. I know now more than ever what my needs are. 2014 is going to be good :) Can't wait to take the slant for a spin soon!

Have you ever tried a Viking's Sword blade? They come out of the Personna plant in Israel. I think you should give them a try before you get more Astra's, you may get a surprise I know I did....:) Send me your snail mail address and I'll send you some if you'd like to give them a try....

blanka I will not eat my shaving products. Promise.

I really appreciate the offer, but I have tried the Viking Swords. They are nice blades, but they aren't anywhere as smooth as Astras for me.
