I live about 1.5 hrs north and the only time I go to Seattle is to the airport or to drive right on through down I-5. Downtown streets(one way/crowded), parking(paying to park), people(rude/impolite) and I don't get along very well. But I digress.... I may have to make an exception for this event.
This makes me wish I'd taken that job on Whidbey Island a few years ago. If you do souvenir hats or t-shirts, get a couple in 4X (shirts, not hats).
It is right off of I5 and there is a parking garage caddy corner to it. I'm not a huge fan of driving in Seattle, but it's in a pretty good spot. BTW, the best way to avoid "Chief Seattle Revenge" is to stick to beer!
Aw c'mon guys, as big cities go Seattle has got to be near the top with water quality and the beer aint bad either. and downtown on a Saturday will be much less congested than on a weekday...though there is a Husky game, it starts at 2pm so getting downtown at 11 shouldn't be much of a chore...maybe you can even carpool with a fellow wet shaver. besides, look at all the great stuff that Matt is pulling in for the event - way to go Matt! I do like the Badger wax...by the way Mustache, looks like yours could use some wax! If I win it I'll PIF it to you! Look forward to seeing you all there! Cheers! :rah: RT
We have the opportunity for a Limited Edition Soap for the 2015 SSC meetup . Its called "Flannel In The Rain" and is only available at the 2015 Seattle meetup. Details on the meetup website.
Just got in the latest donation from Muhle Shaving. Quite the donation of shaving goods. Enough for a few sets and some other bits and bobs.
Two more vendors have kindly donated to the 2015 SSC meetup. A BIG thanks to: Shave Mac Barrister and Mann
My bad, It's called "Flannel in the Rain" and is supposed to combine a "linen" smell with the "smell of rain" you get before a rainstorm. You probably won't find a description on the PAA site as it's only being offered for the SSC meet and is not available through the PAA site.
I just asked vendors if they would be interested and offered to show off what they donated. Just goes to show how generous the wet shaving community is.
Most definitely. A buddy of mines wife is going to be taking pictures for a few hours. I was o busy talking last year I only got a handful of pictures.
My wonderful wife saw this posting and stated it would make for a great getaway weekend that she'd indulge my shaving addiction hobby. Alas, my work schedule is a serious conflict that weekend and prevents me from attending. ...rats!
Quick update / reminder: 1) The limited edition soap is only available for order until Sept 4th. If you are interested please order soon 2) If you are planning on coming to the meet up please say so in this thread or shoot me a PM. Trying to get a rough idea of numbers. So far I have the following from what has been posted in this thread: -GSSIXGUN (wildfires permitting) -Rufus T -45Auto -JeraldGordon -Mustache -PLANofMAN -MoAllen Have a great day! Matt
