I found a monstrous box in my mail room and could wait to look over the contents.

:signs021: As tired as I am from work, I know I'll be looking through this tonight.

:happy096: An awesome end to a hard day.

    Thanks!

Whoever is before me, would it be possible to please save a bit of the Arko AS. I'd like to try it, before I pull the trigger on Amazon.
    Thanks.

My bad. Didn't remember that. Do I need to edit my post, or is it ok?

Would y'all please save me a sample or two from the Arko aftershave? I'd like to try it before I purchase on Amazon. Thanks.

Y'all seem to think I won't unbox it on camera... Sounds like a challenge to me.

Received the extras from @PLAla via @stingraysrock.

I'm repacking the box to a new box (reinforced). It got a little crush on it's way to me; fortunately the only casualty was a maroon Ever Ready (top was shattered). I decided to hold on to it and try to restore it in some way. I'll leave more updates later today ... a busy week is followed by a busy weekend. :scared011:

I'm sorry, I'm not giving better details, but I'll do better later. Found some keepers so as to make room for the loot I want to add. :)

I think you are after me, at least if I am looking at the list correctly.
But I will send a PM just to be sure.

Ok, I'm relaxing today and now have some proper time go over this amazing traveling box. I was given the pleasure of a dual unveilings; one by the initial box from @stingraysrock then a secondary opening from the donations from @PLAla. Strange as it may seem I was most excited by the brushes and the aftershaves, but don't worry @ordinaryshaver, the Arko is still there. :)

My first keeper was an aftershave from Maggard's Tobacco & Leather ...... like sitting in a leather chair in a humidor full of great cigars ... yup that good.
Next was something I've always wanted .... a Simpson. A pretty Berkeley 46 with it's best badger knot; I was looking forward to it when I saw it was going in to the box.
I held on to the chubby pearl Oscar, I've never had one with such a large beautiful knot and I like it's short stout handle.
I then put to the side a few brushes to be re-knotted (2 Ever Readys and a Rubberset) and the travel Barbasol.
Lastly I felt piggish for this, but you'll see later that I don't feel bad about snagging the SuperMax blades.

I gathered together my donations and put them together for a portrait.

    IMG_1361.JPG

    Here's the breakdown .....

A Your Fathers Mustache scuttle (made in England pre 1972)
A Pipe decanter of Avon Wild Country (full at 5oz)
A full can of Stirling shaving soap. I received it in a PIF a couple years back and the container was damaged and I forgot its name, so I renamed it. BTW it's suppose to be gray.
    A Schick Banded razor NOS
    A Gem Junior
A Maggard's razor head (never used).
A restored Rubberset blue/green (never used)
A WW2 Rubberset, looks to be unused.
Various vintage and new blades (all sealed)
A Kewtie mini razor with a spare blade.
A travel tube of vintage Williams brushless shaving cream.
Lastly a Rubberset brush for restore.

I went to pack it all back in to the box to prepare to send to @MR41 and I was in such a pickle .... it was overfull. I was left with only one thing to do ..... I picked a few more items.

So I pulled the following ....
The Astra 501 (very interesting looking razor).
A tub of Ginger Garden Suede shaving soap (smells very nice and leathery).
A Gem 1912 (I never used one so I better start).
Lastly Boll Weevil Freedom aftershave soother (smells rather pleasant).

I feel like I took too much, but as I told @MR41, I received it at 10.8 lbs and I'm sending it out at 12.38 lbs.

Like a big lady wearing spandex.

Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed the items. Awesomeness!
Thanks for thinking of me, and while it was hard to do, no doubt, it is appreciated.

No worries. I added it to the first post for easy viewing. I don't like making post "disappear". This is all TSD History in the making.

If you have a Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, or similar store near you, they sell small screw top containers that work well for holding soap, shave cream, and AS balm samples.
