They are literally next door to Hendrick's BBQ where we'll have Saturday evening BBQ. A few miles from the breakfast buffet at Golden Corral.

The Ameristar Casino/Hotel is also close, about a mile from the restaurant if that's more to your tastes. It's also more expensive but, that's to be expected at a casino.

Rooms should be available in both locations. I've reached out to the Country Inn as last year and have gotten the same more or less silent response on trying to block any rooms off. I just can't give them enough of a guarantee on number, so I recommend booking early to make sure you get in. Same for Ameristar. I believe Keith has already booked there as the hours there suit his jet lag better.

@mrchick and @Drygulch spent the afternoon last year wandering up and down Main Street in the antique stores and hauled off some nice straight razors. There are plenty to wander through. Also some nice restaurants for lunch. Depending on size of group and preferences we can do some sightseeing during the afternoon or just do your own thing as individuals or with others you choose.

Oh - for those flying in - if you need ground transportation let me know as well. I can probably find a guy with a nice Mazda or van to pick you up. He drives like a madman but hasn't killed anyone yet.

@BaylorGator transports his limo in the cargo hold of his plane, Neal. He should be covered on ground transportation. He told you about his Advance Team coming the week prior to check things out, right? He gets a little testy if the hotel staff forgets to turn down his sheets and leave chocolates on the pillow.

 

Sorry to hear that, Brian, but you have something much better planned. Maybe we can convince the Czar to do a group Skype? We can all sing happy birthday to your grandson!

We are prepared. The Cartel has actually booked an entire "hotel" for him and his entourage. It's in a "historic" area of North City St. Louis and features an enclosed courtyard around a "pool" (could be a swamp, we're not sure) and...as an added benefit....the walls around the courtyard have been proven to stop nearly 30% of the bullets fired in the neighborhood each night. Don't tell me we don't know how to treat visiting dignitaries and rebellion leaders.

 

Wait until he finds out that the hotels for us common folk have the best cookies. BWAHAHA!

I'm giving serious thought to a road trip to meet up with you fine folks. I wish I could make a firm commitment but I never know what my work schedule will be. If I'm not stuck at work that weekend I'll see you guys at dinner.
