Way to go Barry! I never tried my Tabac shave stick for a headshave. Maybe I will take the plunge. Enjoy your afternoon.

My shave this morning was real good, but for one area. I'll get to that later. Zingari Man soap worked well with the Jayaruh brush(#59). The resulting shave left soft, fresj skin an all but that "one area". The left and right sides of North Porcpine Nation(just over the upper lip)really pick up a lot of hair . Shaving there feels like mowing your lawn with one of those old-school mowers. But I got it all. South Porcupine looks and feels good, And now for the "one area"....right down the middle of Cactus Nation(neck). I'll do a better job there tomorrow. The Stoylin Unscented afteshave was a nice finish to what should have been a better shave. Most Outstanding.

Thank you Gary....y'know it just never occurred to me that I missed that section of Cactus Nation. Shame on me.

    April 29 SOTA

    Good afternoon.

    Schick I-1 Injector
    Ted Pella Injector Blade (7)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
Stirling Tsuka SS, AS, and EdT
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 22 hrs

    20230429_153303.jpg

It was another fine shave. I decided to use the Schick I-1 for an easy and quick shave. I am going out to a memorial so I decided to use the Stirling Tsuka set for the occasion. It's a nice scent that is fine for any situation except possibly a work environment. Evan's brush has some backbone and whips up a nice lather.
    Here's the result:
    20230429_153933.jpg

As you can see, Stirling provides a creamy, slick lather. I really needed to just paint it on my face and neck. I did 3 passes because I had more than enough lather and I like the scent. The alum did give some feedback, but I can handle it. Lol!
Splashed on the matching aftershave to end this session. Before I head out, I will spritz the Tsuka EdT for good measure. Take care.

Thanks Joe, always good to catch up with my two "boys"!

Thank you Joe, I have used a few of my synthetics and find them quite pleasant. Both my synthetics, my boar and my badger work well with the bowl lathering. I have yet to find the best brush for face lathering though.

Goodbye to Arko Adjustable April ! It’s been a fun learning curve.

    Growth: 31 hours.
Early Sunday evening shave, all set for work tomorrow. Somehow my evening shaves tend to be a bit rushed.
    Brush: Ever-Ready 200
    Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade: Gillette Stainless (1) actually works well with the Slim
    Face Prep: Usual prep
Cream/Soap: I will let the sun set on the ARKO for a while.

Post Shave: HWR, CWR, Thayers. Proraso Green AS

3 Passes were needed with the Slim set to number 5 and then down to 3 for some buffing.
Skin starting feel the blade but no damage done. Some thorny bits left for another day. I can’t get too close with a new/fresh blade it seems.

    PS:
It is time to let the sun set on the Arko. It’s been good getting to know it, but it’s time to give it a rest for a while, it does tend to be a bit drying on the skin.

Hope you all had a great weekend, looking forward to see what the new week brings.
