    Days growth = 1
Repeat Tabac Thursday shave, sticking with my minifocus on Face Lathering

Chubby 2 slowly settling in, shedding less and less hairs on a daily basis

Same software and hardware as yesterday

Day 1 Astra Superior Stainless (2)
Last of my Astra Superior Stainless blades. Good smooth blade. Would I buy more? Yep, but I have enough others

Lather still a bit thick for this razor

Option 1: switch to a synthetic
    Option 2: switch razors
Option 3: use a different face lathering soap

So many variables, but for now as I have said before, one can’t really go wrong with this Merkur 37C in case anyone out there wants to change things up a bit

Again: Super smooth with no damage

Can’t ask for more than that

    Thanks again Joe

    :happy088:

I am fairly certain which half I belong to, never mind, having fun

Cool Paul, I agree, we all have our own personal limitations and have to learn to live with them

Thanks Joe, like the Tabac, really like the Tabac, normally I would chop and change sooner than this!
2nd hand glass bottle, cool, I have seen some nearly empty old ones around here but not for $2!

Another great shave. Most things you choose seem to work together well, my guess is your technique trumps the whole lot of them!

    Cute!

Very good shave this Throwback Thursday morning. Like yesterday, I should have spent more time at the Loading Dock, and in fact had to re-load a few times til satisfied. But this Razorock soap is quite good to load, I just failed the "Technique Trumps Tools" persuasion of things. As it was, I got a clean&clear result along the cheeks&sideburns. Same on both ends of Porcupine. A Knick down at Cactus, but it was painless. Hard to see, frankly, but it happened. No other damage. 2 passes. Strong finish with the Clubman. Most Outstanding.

Thank you Chris. IMHO Good technique & shaving will always trump tools. Something I have learned from a old member of The Shave Den. "The old guys know the score" There is no great secret of success to my shave set ups, to be brutally honest Chris I randomly just pick out on a Friday what I'm going to use for the week and hope for the best. One thing that I've trained myself to do is not to be complacent with any razor either aggressive or non aggressive in my way of thinking all razors can be aggressive some more others. When I first started like most people I was swooned and set my shaving standards far to high trying to achieve perfection with each shave causing unnecessary irritation cuts & nicks to myself I soon realised that this was a over-zealous stupid thing to do as '"Perfection is the enemy of perfectly adequate." I consider most of my shaves close & comfortable, I do from time to time get what I consider to be "BBS PERFECTION" but never set out to achieve it. I also taught myself to " shave the lather from my face, rather than the stubble" this has been my shaving train of thought with all my shaves, especially with my head shaves, I don't want a gaping cut in my precious swede.
