It's one to be careful of, all right.

I just tried the TSD M Bomb. It has a push to open and close cap and the drops don't come out until you gently squeeze the bottle.

I decided to go with Arko for this morning’s shave because I wanted to try the TSD M Bomb with it. Arko is definitely a great performer despite it's love/ hate relationship with shaves because of the scent. I personally didn't mind the scent and now it smells like Ivory Soap. The lather is slick and voluminous.

    20220813_095915.jpg

I added 3 drops of the menthol and finished whipping the lather. I didn't feel the effects of the menthol on the first pass so I added another drop on the brush and picked up more lather from the bowl. I did feel the menthol on the second pass and it was very nice so that I went for a rare 3rd pass shave. I have to say that it was a very nice feeling, but it's not a face freezer Ala Cryogen. I would say the menthol is mild, but close to medium sensation. Mind you, I am comparing it to Proraso (mild) and Cryogen (über strong). Your mileage may vary. I guess the main purpose of the M-bomb is to get the cooling effect on non-mentholated soaps and obviously, it did.

This 3 passer gave me a BBS shave without any cuts, weepers, knicks, or irritation. I had enough lather to do a 2 pass headshave with my G E Jones ShakeSharp and got the same BBS results without any errors.
I had very little alum feedback and none on my dome and nape.
Witchhazel and the AV Ice Blue aftershave was applied to finish this nice shave session. Enjoy your day.

    DE Shave # 419 - Adjustable August - Weekends

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Ming Shi Futur Clone
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: Jayaruh 381 Badger/Boar
    Lather: PAA Old Salty
    Aftershave: PAA Old Salty
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel
    Stirling Alum Block

Today’s shave was a great way to start the day. We finely have comfortable temperatures with low humidity courtesy of some cool air from our neighbors to the north.

I have plenty of this soap left but it will be a repurchase down the road as it is extremely refreshing and even more importantly the missus loves it. Every time I used the soap/splash she always compliments it. The scent profile is as follows: “A Clean, Fresh, Bracing Scent of Salty, Crisp Ocean Air Surrounded by Hints of Balsam, Driftwood & Citrus with Quieter Notes of Oakmoss & Vanilla.”

The Ming Shi Futur Clone is the only adjustable I have in my den. It delivered a wonderful three pass shave that left my face feeling silky smooth. The only challenge I have with this razor is that the head (cap) is a bit bulky which makes it a little challenging shaving the upper lip area. I believe Barry, @palmolive fox, mention this awhile back when comparing the Futur Clone to his Smnirin Adjustable razor. Nonetheless, you eventually adapt to finding the best way to compensate for the razor’s design.

Tme to get back to work. I have another round of being Chef Giuseppe as I prepare for another family BBQ. Enjoy your day gentlemen.

You''re welcome.. Something I read a few years ago, and believe. Seen some evidence to it, too.

Fabulous shave Barry. I agree, the Merkur Slant razor, I have the 37c which was the first De in I pick up in the mid 90’s, is a phenomenal shaver.
