Thank you Joe...I'm the ambassador for Nivea Men shaving assortments, a great post shave application for all the seasons of the year IMHO.

 

Give the clipper oil a try, it serves it's purpose very well, even though you get oils from the shaving soaps and creams, the clipper oil gives the mechanisms that extra lubrication.

Todays shave is a true 9.5/10 due to having to go do some extra trimming on one using a more aggressive angle on dial 1 to get some parts at the end on moustache without cutting myself after using mainly on dial 4 the whole time. Day 14 on topside, I flipped the blade after the shave, so tomorrow I am using the 2 side not the S side I was using before on my early King C Gillette blade.

I used like always my Gillette slim handle H 2 without case.

I used water on the face and did moustache right before using and redid the rest of face for a pass 2 but I used water on the blade or head of shaver keeping that wet.

Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am into chapter 9 just around 1960 working on advertising the Gillette shaving products including a new item trying to keep a good chunk of the shaving market because of bigger competitors now being a bigger threat with the quality of blade or then modern style injector shavers.

Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Edwin Jagger Limes & Pomegranate Shaving Cream.
Blade: Lord Silver Star Super Stainless.(D1)
Razor: Baili BD177 Rose Gold TTO.

Post:

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend..

The Edwin Jagger shave cream provided a wonderful slick lather in a short space of time....The scent to my nose is a nice clean zest scent that doesn't over power your senses, but lingers in between each pass leaving a wonderful post shave feel.

A enjoyable 2 close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Brut Sport Style ASL.

My face & precious swede are is feeling smooth & smelling divine.

My Friday Fact selection shave was great again. I stuck with doing 2 passes, but as I say, I might TRY just one sometime. My first Proraso Refreshing soap is getting low(still a few more shaves left, though), and I'm glad I have another full one to go. Nice finish ffrom the aftershave(Osage, I think it was). As Outstanding AS It Gets.

Relaxing Sunday Morning Shave.

The Eco Warrior shaving bar performed wonderfully this morning producing a slick protective lather in a short space of time.

The soap has a mild scent good texture & slickness it's protective leaving an impressive post shave feel. I've yet to try any of the new recipes of the Eco Warrior shaving bars, but by the negative comments and reviews I've read I'll give them a miss.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Yelken Turkish Lemon Eau De Cologne.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Todays shave is a true 9.5/10 due to having a few very small cuts 3--4 partly because of this being day 1 on bottom-side. This was true for my rather small chin cut. I used Dial 3--5 during the shave going up when needed. I did 1 main pass with touchup spots then a smaller final clean after the touchup.

I used like always my Gillette slim handle H 2 without case.

Since I missed shaving on Saturday, I used some lotion on my face and on the blade and went a bit heavy due to using up a small trial type bottle (hotels) that was almost used up and found another when I need to use again. The use of extra lotion caused me to have less feeling on the moustache area for 2--3 cuts.

I am in chapter 9 just around early 1960's trying to keep up the share of the market due to 2 major competitors that one is now owned by Gillette just before Procter & Gamble bought them out with the other bought later by Procter & Gamble in the 2000's after Gillette had joined the brand.

I guess my promoting the book on The Shave Den has caused all the cheap versions of the book to be sold out on Amazon so now people can only buy $50+ books.

August 17 SOTM Head and Face Shave

Voshkhod DE Blade (fresh, 2)
Parker Synthetic Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
Stirling Alum Block
Lucky Witch Hazel
Beard Growth: 2.5 Days
Dome Turf: 5 Days

Two passes all around for a BBS result. The Voshkhod blades are not smooth during the first use. I got a chin weeper. The alum feedback was quite noticeable all around. The matching aftershave gave me a real burn. Again, no pic. Lol. Take care.
