Yes, I had one cut next to a potential issue with a mosquito bite that was probably going to happen. They are very small like a micro cut but they took longer to heal due to still having to cut over the area the cuts happened because on the sides around the cuts I had not got the hairs.

This shave soap hotel lotion concoction is working well if let the shave soap (what I labeled the lotion and soap concoction) get wet first on the hand then go and shave. The shave soap is very thin but actually soaks in partially with a bit on top just the way I need a great shave soap to work for me along with being very thin. This is why I am looking at the Cella Brushless shave cream for my actual use seeing how it works going on so thin in the one picture on Amazon. I know people say this works great for those who do not think the myth of a 1 inch/2.54 centimeter thick lather is minimum needed to shave. This rule of needing at least 1 inch/2.54 centimeter thick layer of leather is only true for almost all straight razors as they lack a safety guard, even the models using a 1/2 double edge blade need to use a thick lather of at least 1 inch/2.54 centimeters.

The only model of straight edge well semi straight edge that does not lack a double edge or slant style safety guard is an Italian Rasor Rock Switch model of 3 piece shaver that can convert to a straight edge style of use because of how the head is made. You take this thread on covered style nut off the screw into part that turns the blade into straight edge basically on the side for thread protection that then can then act as the part holding the top and the bottom plates together.

Thank you Joe.. I'll be starting my SEptember focus tomorrow using my vintage SE razors for my face shaves, for my head/dome shaves I'll be revisiting the Indian made (Track II clone) Gallant II Platinum cartridge razor.

Today's shave was a 9.5/10 because I feel like I have a little bit left with using dial 5 due in part to shaving in the shower for most of the shave. Today is day 11 on the bottom 25 overall with the same King C Gillette blade. This blade is near the end of its life probably only making it to 28--30 shaves due to how dull it is becoming.

I used as always, my H 2 Gillette Adjustable slim handle shaver without the case.

Today I shaved in the shower to get done quicker using the soap on my face and this worked great but did not get as close

The new book I got on July-31, King C. Gillette, the man and his wonderful shaving device https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316009377/?tag=thshde-20, my early era of King C Gillete blade before the company moved to the thinner Chinese models, and my Gillette shaver are proving they are still a great trio for this month. I am basically done with the book only a few pages left. I tried to not to do spoilers other than a few hints here and there to tease the book or what one can find on Badger & Blade on history of the USA Gillette timeline

I have been straight and shavette shaving for 7 years. Most straight razor shavers will say that a slick, thin lather is better for this type of shaving.

This looks to be the case for shaving with a Single Edge Safety Razor or Double Edge/Safe-T-Razor is that a thinner lather is better if you are not stupid in actually scraping with the shaver but with a few in videos mainly YouTube you see putting on about 1 inch/2.54 centimeters of shave soap and then wonder why most of these people like 3 piece longer open comb designs/the bent open comb to scrape away the lather or have to use an adjustable model on the highest setting then are spending a minute removing the lather from the comb, sometimes even having to open up the shaver if butterfly to get out the shaving cream or spin open a bit the shaver on 3 piece to get out the shaving cream.

To me it seems like you would want more shaving cream for straight razors but what do I know as I never plan to use a straight razor unless I need to shave my head due to being mostly bald and probably using one of the models that uses 1/2 of a double edge blade given I am already using a double edge shaver. But given my genetics from my dad's side seeing my dad at 65, I look like I will have hair for life, my grandpa mainly lost his hair on the top of his head due to the stress of losing both eyesight and hearing at the same time at age 55--56 in 1985--1986.
