Thanks Gary. I was going to use Arko, but decided to go with Stirling Tsuka instead.

 

arko is no picnic..,just good shave soap..i want to use something luxurious for my sunday shave.arko is vintage williams but with an industrial lemon scent.it boils down to to this..the western world chose to scent their cleaning products with lemon /lime fragrances.so they get a crap rap ,kind of insulting to countries who like these scents to be honest..

No, it should only be used on furniture. However, I do like citrus scents, but I am not sure about grapefruit.

 

again point made.there are many on this continent that think tobacco scents stink like smokers..ashtrays,true ignorance and arrogance..painting things with a broad brush.

 

I have only tried one tobacco scented soap and that was Moon Soaps Havana. It was a nice scent to my nose. The Maestro @Primotenore lifted me a sample some time ago.

 

very cool Joe..but you know what i'm on about.our Paul says "does it smell like an ashtray" when any new tobacco scent is presented here..it's the general consensus..it's a real shame..

Prep: Warm shower:/ Nivea Men Power Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Palmolive Naturals Olive & Milk Bar Soap.
Brush: Wilkinson Sword Boar.
Face Lather.
Lather: Wilkinson Sword Soap Bowl.
Blade: Gillette Winner Stainless. (D2)
Razor: Parker 22R.

Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./ Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. /Nivea Men 2 Phase + P&G Old Spice Original ASL Mixture /Cien Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

An invigorating Sunday morning cold water shave.

The Winner stainless felt super smooth & efficient paired together with the 22R on it's second outing....I find that some DE blades especially stainless & teflon coated ones start show to their true potential on the second shave.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

My face is feeling cool, smooth & smelling divine.

I was in that club until I tried Moon Soaps. I may be wrong, but I think the artisans use the flower of the tobacco and not the leaf so that it's a sweeter scent. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a soap that smells like an ashtray. Lol!

Thank you Joe....Oro Valley is a great Stoylin offering. Ditto Puros(course Puros is by Razorock).

 

They need to understand the difference between tobacco LEAF and tobacco ASH TRAY.

 

In fact, I just said that now, before reading your post(well, not EXACTLY, but it was on your subject). Leaf scent is better than ash tray.

I did a rare ATS (above-the-shoulder) shave.
I am getting ready for services tonight. It is going to be special because my pastor cooks a buffet dinner for us. So I figure why not go the extra mile shaving when she does preparing a sermon and a meal.
Anyway, the Stirling Christmas Eve soap and aftershave is appropriate for the shave in preparation for tonight's festivities.
I picked the mild Redtip so that I would lessen the probability of nicking myself. Remember, I want to look nice this evening. Lol!
My shaves went well. Two passes with some buffing on my face and neck and 3 passes plus pickups on my dome for near BBS and Cueball smooth, respectively. BTW, no bloodshed was evident in the performance of my shaves. Did get a few zings from the alum throughout the shaved areas, but they were minor in intensity. Splashed on the glorious aftershave to end this session. Take care.
